Set in the lush tropical gardens, Edsa Shangri-La Hotel Manila is the only city-resort convention hotel in Ortigas Centre, Metro Manila's second largest business district. Adjacent to two major shopping complexes in the country Shangri-La Plaza Mall and Mega Mall the hotel is 7 kilometres from the Makati Central Business District and 13 kilometres from the international airport.

Hotel was as good as always. Only problem was that the folks I was working with had to shift from EDSA to Makati and I was absolutely SHOCKED that the Shang would not move me to that hotel without forcing me to pay for both rooms at the full rate ... essentially a penalty. I expected more from their customer service and may need to rethink my long-term commitment to their brand when I travel, Internationally.

First time to stay and I was impressed. The staff were very attentive. There's a bridge connector to Shangri-La Mall and it's a 5 minute walk to SM Megamall. It's within the Ortigas business district. Although the room was old, it was well-maintained. I stayed at both Shang Cebu and Makati but this was the best for me in terms of over-all guest experience.

The hotel operates an airport hotel taxi service, this 'taxi' office is just located just outside the arrivals hall, excellent for late night arrivals. Hotel is close to 3 large shopping malls and more 'local' restaurants within these malls.

Great property just 25 minutes from the airport (door to door limo service is recommended) in the heart of Manila's shopping district. Huge shopping malls all within walking distance, plus no end of excellent eating options. In house restaurants are also top rate - and the breakfast buffet shouldn't be missed. Children will love the pool area - especially the slide! The Shangri-La Edsa is my new first choice in Manila. Loved it!
