An excellent stay in the most charming hotel. The restaurant, which you must book in advance, was excellent. The quality of the food and service was exemplary, The breakfast room and buffet could not be faulted. As you would expect in an historic building, the room sizes will vary. Ours was large and comfortable. The ensuite might be cramped for obese guests = but it was convenient and met our needs. I would highly recommend this hotel and will return when I have the chance.
Does not provide complimentary bottle of water. Does not provide complimentary wi-fi internet access. No sauna available. Excellent location in the center of the old town.
Single room
A lovely place with efficient and friendly staff. One of the most beatiful hotels in Europe.
Very nice hotel, I like it being so central
Very charming hotel with great service and food. The area is very touristy, but at least all the service people speak English. I would wholeheartedly recommend.
Very nice hotel, a good restaurant too.
What a wonderful place. It is truly one of a kind and the memories of our stay will last a long tme.
The room was comfortable and clean, excellent service always with a smile. I would stay there again in a heart beat. It was easy to find and conveniently located. It is within easy walking distance of all of the attractions that Rothenburg ob der Taube has to offer.
We stayed at the Eisenhut Rothenburg 26 Dec 05. Nice place, good size room. Overall a nice hotel right at the city center.
A very charming historical hotel.
This hotel was in an excellent location. I would recommend it to others.
Very good location. Firendly service. I would want to stay there again!
Very comfortable with excellent service. Very good views and lovely outdoor patio for meals, particularly at night in summer. Food and breakfast also very good indeed. Herr Fischer, front office Manager, went out of his way to book a hotel for us in Munich which turned out to be excellent. Rothenburg is a lovely town and the Eisenhut is well worth a stay - ask for a room overlooking the view at the back of the hotel!
This hotel was great! The best service I have received in Germany in 2 years of living here. Great location and ambience. I really enjoyed staying in a 400 year old building with all the modern amenities. I can't wait to stay there again.
There was a particular desk clerk who was very accomodating, polite and good natured.
A very charming hotel. We were there over Christmas so the atmosphere was very festive. I believe our room was one of the smaller ones, yet it was big enough and even included a couch. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and the food was very good. Breakfasts were magnificent. The only thing lacking in the hotel was a public lounge; the only place to sit was in the entrance hall (there was a bar, but some of the time it was closed off).
Great location with nice antiques throughout. The breakfast buffet was great. The room was really nice and we had asked for adjoining rooms and which was no problem, along with a baby cot. A "don't miss" for Christmas, Easter or Summer break.
Staff were helpful, room and hotel were charming, breakfast was delicious and fresh. Location is excellent! Was a delightful stay, will recommend to friends.
We found the Eisenhut hotel to be of a very high standard, and were delighted with the view from our room which overlooked the wall, rooftops and valley below. I was impressed with the service received from " Hotel club" as well. They were very prompt with their reply and met our requests for a room with a view. The only slightly disappointing part was a rather small selection of breakfast foods particularly the hot foods - we expected more of a 5 star hotel. We also we requested a non-smoking room and received a smokers room. Other than that we were delighted.
The hotel restaurtant was over-priced but the hotel was great. Thanks!
