El Fuerte Hotel Marbella

"My husband and I have stayed in this hotel on many occasions, and have returned repeatedly because of its location and the fact that it is principally still a typical Spanish hotel. Many Spanish people travel from around the country and stay here.My advise on booking would be to ask for a front seaview room with views over the Mediterranean(5th floor preferably), and on a clear day you can see as far as Gibraltar and the Straits It is overlooking the Paseo and the Beach, with direct access onto the paseo and Beach. The gardens are very well tended, with two pools and plenty of loungers and parasols, it would suit families and couples alike.The Morning Breakfast buffet is very good, with a large choice!Lunch taken in the garden is ok!!Dinner is to be taken in one of the many and varied restaurants along the paseo, Restaurant Santiago, Da Bruno(on Fridays live operatic arias)and if you want something special a short taxi ride to Villa Tiberio!! "Fantastic hotel, our second year to stay there and would definitely stay there again. Fantastic location, very friendly helpful staff. It is soo clean the bedrooms, common areas, pool area etc. There are always plenty of sun loungers and towels provided for the pool area. We stayed on a Bed and Breakfast package and the breakfast was fantastic soo much to choose from. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Fabulous! " - Anonymous
