El Prado Hotel Madrid

A superb location in the historic area of Madrid, the hotel is within walking distance of all major historic sites as well as the three main art museums. The "literary" neighbourhood is charming and feels very secure. I was travelling as a single woman and had absolutely no concerns about going out at night; there were alsways lots of people around. The area has many restaurants and tapas bars. The hotel was very clean and quiet. The rooms were a good size with excellent bathroom facilities. I would highly recommended this hotel in its class.

Very well located hotel within walking distance of the museum district (Prado, Thyssen, Reina Sofia) , Plaza santa ana and Plaza Mayor. Several metro stations within 10 minute walk. Stayed in single room with ensuite shower, which was well appointed and clean. Breakfast selection was good. Wine theme interesting although did not really see the point of it! Highly recommended.

very convenient location. good size rooms. very clean. decent breakfast in nice room. but no bar/lounge for the evening. no coffee/tea in the rooms (machine available in foyer). no movies in the room. worth it only if you intend to be out all day and evening.

Modern, clean, well priced hotel in a great location. Near to Madrids 3 art galleries and surrounded by dozens of tapas bars and restaurants.

Convieniently located 2 blocks from the San Anton subway station, this tiny hotel is quiet, clean and newly renovated with very friendly staff with excellent command of English. This is a less touristic barrio and you'll find it more relaxed.

Friendly staff, free internet access and centrally located. Decor is fresh and clean. Free apples and sweets on each floor!

We had a 7th floor room with a small balcony overlooking the roofs of the neighborhood. Very nice room, though a little small. Excellent bathroom. However, the hotel had not yet turned on its airconditioning (last week of April) and the room was very hot. I would recommend getting a room on floors 2 - 6.

Very good hotel with efficient service. The only problem we had was the noise from the street on Saturday evening/ early Sunday morning. Otherwise, eccellent hotel!

The location is superb...within walking distance of the Prado and the Thyssen Museums and to Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor. Also on the nearby streetare a lot of reasonable priced restaurants. Free internet service was an attractive feature. Room was stream-lined in decor. Light-colored wood paneling. Well-lighted with nice bathrooms. I gave service a "good" rating because I thought the desk staff could have been friendlier.

I thouroughly enjoyed my stay at the El Prado and would have no qualms about staying there again.

We were pleased with the accommodations at El Prado Hotel. The location was central to our interests, i.e., walking distance to museums, parks, and restaurants. The free internet access in the lobby was useful. The hotel staff were very helpful.
