The Elizabeth Hotel is a friendly, privately owned establishment, with English character and charm, which offers relatively simple but thoroughly clean, comfortable accommodation and a good Buffet breakfast at moderate prices. The atmosphere of the Hotel, with many fine prints portraying historic figures such as Elizabeth I, Mary Queen of Scots, King Charles I and II, Queen Victoria, St Thomas More, Sir Francis Drake, Sir Walter Raleigh, Nelson and Wellington, is essentially non-commercial. Furnishings having been kept as close as possible to those of a London house in the mid nineteenth century, although there have been some changes to the buildings over the years. The two staircases are decorated with hand finished mezzo-tint engravings, etchings and traditional copper plate engravings after Turner, Gainsborough, Reynolds and Landseer. In a quiet position this Hotel overlooks the large gardens of a stately square, close to Belgravia, only a few doors away from one of the residences of the late Sir Winston Churchill, and within walking distance of Buckingham Palace. Eccleston Square is ideally situated for all districts of London, including Chelsea, Piccadilly and Westminster, as well as the main shopping centres, theatres and cinemas. Access to the motorways and major routes out of town is most convenient. With easy travel communications to both the West End and the City, the hotel is also suited to the requirements of business executives.

Elizabeth Hotel London Guest Reviews

4.4 out of 5

Hotel is very conveniently placed near to Victoria train and coach stations. The room was very clean and the staff helpful. You have the bonus of access to the private gardens opposite the hotel ideal if you're staying for a few days in the summer. Our only complaint would be that the room was very warm - ideal in the winter but could possibly be too warm in the summer.

5 out of 5

This hotel is well placed for Victoria station and is ideal for public transport to tourist attractions. It was very clean and the breakfast was good with good service. We would definitly stay there again.

Not extremely helpful staff and made a problem of payment (deducting the reservation fee was a bit to much of math for them). But location is great, breakfast was ok and yes, I'd come again for overnight stay.

Could not have been closer to Victoria Coach Station which was great for a 0400am start. Tea and coffee facilities in the room was a real bonus. On a very pretty square.

Bit of a maze to get to my room, dodgy key lock, had to jiggle it to get it to work. Room clean and tidy, bathroom although small had everything you needed including toiletries. Breakfast excellent although service was a bit erratic. Overall I would stay there again.

My room was upgraded (I don't know why) from a triple to a two bedroom apartment. I felt a bit guilty have so much space all to myself - but I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Nice B&B. Staff is friendly, breakfast is OK. But do not expect modern facility.

The Hotel is extemely convenient if you are arriving in or departing from London via Victoria Rail or Coach stations. It is within walking distance of the river, the London Eye and South Bank Arts complex and Tate Britain. The hotel is very clean and comfortable, decorated in neutral colours which make the rooms seem light and airy. There is a service road between the hotel and the actual road, which means that there is not much noise from the traffic if you have a room at the front. In fact, there wasn't much traffic at all. There are plenty of restaurants round about and it's not far from good shopping at Sloane Square.

I would highly recommend this hotel as it is very central (Victoria Station), right across from a park, very neat and clean and the staff were very helpful. Luggage could be left there prior to check-in and although we were on the fourth level there was a lift.
