Turn back the clock and experience warmth, elegance and a friendly old world hospitality in our gracious Bed and Breakfast stately National Trust mansion. The Elms has been carefully restored to reflect the original splendour of its period. The antique furnishings and decore create an ambience such that you feel you are entering this beautiful mansion at the time it was first established early last century. The Elms is one of a number of Hobart's landmark buildings. This lovely old mansion is centrally located 1.2 km from the CBD and 500 meters walk from the famous North Hobart "Gourmet Strip" which houses many of Hobart's better known eating establishments. Some twenty restaurants and cafes, all within the city block, offer the diner a variety of choice international and ethnic cusines. Delightful gardens are a feature of the large property and a favourite place guests to relax in the shade of the lovely old trees. Enjoy a delicious breakfast between 8am -9am with a relaxing atmosphere in our Dining Room with an outlook onto our beautiful Englsh garden and the Derwent river. The Guests Lounge is a wonderful place to relax and share experiences with other travellers over a complimentary or sherry, or a wine from our honesty cellar. This property is a smoke free property but have a designated area outside the property for smokers. The Elms is a 41/2 star property.

Getting there:
It is a 20 min drive from the airport. After driving over the Tamsan Bridge turn right with sign North Hobart. At round about turn right into Brooker Avenue,left into Burnett. Second set of traffic light turn right into Elizabeth Street. Past Post Office,left on the bend. We are located at 452 Elizabeth Street.

Check-in Procedure:
Our preferred check in time is between 2pm-6pm. PLEASE NOTE: Arrivals outside these hours are easliy accommodated if intending guests phone beforehand. Please phone the number provided on the booking confirmation.

Car parking:
We have free off street parking to all our guests.

Sorry-Children and babies are not accommodated at our heritage listed property.
