Getting there:From Athens Int'l Airport. You may use (a) the Express X96 PUBLIC BUS. The bus terminal is outside Exit No 4.. The bus stop for the Hotel is GLYFADA 5th STOP (50 meters from the Hotel Entrance). This bus runs 24 hours approximately every 25 minutes. (b) by taxi and (c) using the hotel shuttle mini-bus. Please request this service upon reservation. Transportation from Airport to Hotel with the hotel mini bus has a cost of 9.00 euros per adult person.Driving from Athens Center: Follow signs to Sygrou Avenue and then signs to Glyfada. The hotel is situated on the coastal highway called "Leoforos Posidonos" By bus from Athens Center: Use public bus A2. Get off at "Glyfada 5th Bus Stop". By bus from Port of Piraeus:Use public bus A1. Get off at "Glyfada 5th Bus Stop". We very much enjoyed our stay at the Emmantina in October 2008. The hotel staff were friendly, the room was fine, and we would go back tomorrow. Best points were the sun deck/swimming pool/roof garden bar up on the 5th floor, the generous buffet breakfast included in the room price, and the helpfulness of the front desk in sorting out any problems. Downside was the six lane highway between the hotel and the beach/tram (you have to be patient as there will be a gap in the traffic if you just wait), the lower floors have no sea view as the trees have grown up too high, and perhaps the distance from central Athens (40 minutes by bus, 50 minutes by tram). But on balance the hotel was good value and the good points outweigh the bad.
This is a good hotel and very good value. Although the single room was a bit small , everything else was 5 star.
Travelling alone, I felt comfortable in the hotel, met some great people and really enjoyed my stay.
The standard is okay, but the location is bad. Close to a very noisy motorway,, which you has to across to come to the beach - which is very stony. Beach with sand closer to the City. It takes 45 minutes with the tram to reach the City Centre, it´s too long time.
The staff on reception were very helpful and pleasant.The staff in the restaurant were okay but not as helpful or friendly.The room and bathroom were clean and tidy.The location was good although on the coast as it was possible to catch the airport express on the main road outside hotel as well as a tram/bus into the centre of Athens.
Not the ritz but good value hotel with helpful staff and a great roof top bar.
Very nice hotel with friendly, helpfull stuff. One cons is transportation to the center.
Was average for the price. Food was not good. Wine was not good. Staff friendly and helpful for the most part. Internet not working during stay.
