Awesome! Great location, beautiful hotel and service
Wonderful hotel with great location. Enjoyed the stay...thanks
Nice grand old hotel in a great location. Nice room, chandelier over the bed! CNN wasn't working and the service at breakfast (which was expensive but good buffet selection) was a bit offhand...
A really nice experience; helpful, friendly staff and a fine, comfortable (and quiet!) room right in the heart of the city. Everything worked well; nice bathroom with good bath/shower (Piping hot water!); room kept spotlessly clean. Metro (San Domingo) right outside the entrance (30 mins/€2 to the Airport) and easy strolling distances to all the major city centre attractions. Well recommended!
Shower was poor for a 4-star hotel and leisure facilities didn't quite match up to expectations, but overall a favourable outcome and we'd use it again if we are in Madrid.
Hotel was in a great position - right on the main street and walking distance to a lot of sights. Room was good size, clean and quiet. Rooftop pool area was huge and really nice - didn't even have to take your own towel as that was supplied there. Brilliant place to relax after a hard day sightseeing!
The hotel was great. The Roof Garden and Pool was a great bonus and a chance to relax and catch the sun in a busy city. The staff were very helpful when we had an emergency - we left our car keys in the hotel room when we checked out and they found them and sent them to the airport in a taxi for us!
Great location, rooftop pool and bar a great place to chill out.
Very Central and staff are polite & helpful
excellent hotel, excellent position, nice and clean rooms, maybe mine a bit dark but quiet and big, great breakfast. surely will go back to this hotel and would suggest. people inside very friendly and helpful
Room quite small but adequate. Pool terrace great, plenty of loungers, pool towels provided. Walking distance to most popular tourist sites. Metro close by.
very good staff, helpful and polite. The hotel is in a great location for 1st timers in Madrid and acts as a great base for exploring the city centre. The room was nothing special and for the price i know there is much better to be found. I also did not appreciate being charged for internet use.
An excellant hotel, great location, great facilities, very friendly staff
We have stay in Madrid at Hotel Emperador for three nights in August 2008. We booked for a double room and extra bed for a 7 years old kid, but we had with us the other kid too, 5 years old, and the reception stuff offered us a Club room, with no extra charge, which was very kind. The room was spacious. The furniture is a little old, but well maintained, and the overall looked well. The bath is large, clean and nice decorated. The breakfast was ok but not very rich, the vegetables (tomatos, etc) missing totally. Although I got tomatoes after I asked a waiter for. Minibar filled with lot of stuff, but we couldn't find the price list so avoided to use it. It proved very expensive, one night we used two bottles of plain water which costs about 10-12 euros (don't remember exactly). The pool on the roof very nice too, but the pool bar very expensive too (an orange and a tomato juice costs 16 euros). But they offered free peanuts and some other snaks.
A very good standard of hotel staff were friendly and attentive
The location of this hotel is excellent - extremely central. Staff were very courteous and helpful. The rooms were small but very clean. The rooftop garden and pool are lovely although the drinks and food up there are quite expensive.
The employees at the front desk were awesome! Spoke both English and Spanish. Plus the hotel location was right across from the Metro. Highly recommended for downtown Madrid.
This hotel is good and well located but it already needs renovations. Tiles and carpets and other room equipment/decorations need changes, a least I may say it about my room.
Great Location, some rooms are small but have an extra door / hall thus very quiet.
Excellent service which was very friendly. We had a triple room with our seven year old son and the staff were wonderful with him. A great location easy to get to from the airport and an easy stroll to the sights of the old town and the royal palace.
