I needed to call a cab & rental car and the staff member sent me to the corner store to call from there and then the guy at the corner store told me to go to the next hotel and they help me with everything i need to do with getting a cab & car. Empire customer service was not up to standard in assisting someone when they needed help.
If you regard this accomodation as student or backpacker accommodation you should be reasonably happy with this 'hotel'. Definitely not to be compared to any classy establishments. Service is pretty laid back LOL!

This was our first time in Auckland and we were well received. We were also told that we were the first Bruneians to ever stay there, such an honour! The hotel apartment was good value for money for only about NZD$120 per night - it had 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and an all-in-one kitchen, dining and mini living room. My 4 girls loved it! My wife could easily cook as well, as at times we decided to dine in! The only 2 minus points - there was no toaster (they had a stove, micro-wave and cooking utensils) and small cockroaches were sometimes seen under the kitchen's sink! Should they be able to call a pesticide control company and declare that the place is free from cockroaches, only then will I take my family to stay there again. On the whole, it wasn't such a bad place, quite cosy and easy 10-15 minutes walk to Queen Street. The other good thing, there was a convenient store right next door.
No TV instructions. No information on available facilities in the hotel. Sky TV does not work - no anttenae connected.
it's more like a flat.
very small room, but all good...
Smal student type accomadation. Cheap and you get what you pay for
Very much student type accomodation
Very satisfied. We paid for two bedrooms, and were given three. Two full bathrooms, reasonable kitchen and living area. The pool is just one lane wide and was kept covered even when officially open. The cafe downstairs isn't open as many hours as the sign says. We would stay there again, without doubt.
Room was pretty dated and quite noisey as it seems to be a bit of a student haven. Found 3 or 4 empty bottles under couch and bed from previous tenents. But away from that was a good price and in a handy location. Dont expect a carpark though.
although it was a 3 Bedroom 2 Bath apartment we found it to be quite small. Our room was nice but sparce. We found it adequate for our need for one night. I'm not sure that I would stay there for an more extended length of time.
Nice apartments for long stays and easy to book through [your website]. Local residents noisy at night...
A good price for a serviced apartment. However there were some problems with my room. There were lots of stains on the bathroom floor and the shower was not enclosed which flooded the bathroom after showering. Also the swimming pool was outdoors and did not look suitable for swimming. The location was ok, right next to Auckland University. The area was a little bit busy with many students coming and going. This gave the place a posh student houing type of feel. One inconvenince I found was that over the 3 days i was there, 3 tour groups arrived at the hotel clutting the entrance to the lifts. Another inconvenince was parking. In the end I paid $10 a day for access to the hotel car park and was not guaranteed a space. There were probably only around 20-30 spaces there. All in all, I am satisfied with what i got for the price. There are a few minor improvements that could be made which would of made my stay much more enjoyable.
The lack of parking at night made it a stressful place to stay.
The beds are very firm!
Really enjoyed our stay, great location for downtown Auckland, would stay again no problem, Great price for 2 bedroom apartment,
