The hotel location is very convenient and nearby the Wan Chai train station. The bathroom could be cleaner (especially behind the door) and the king size bed was too soft but not uncomfortabe. Have taken only room and bought internet 24hrs card at 7-11 to use in opposite coffee shop which is much cheaper (if you want to drink coffee anyway). Further as I had only room, I cannot say anything about the breakfast. And I have not used the swimming pool (looks small) and gym (looks okay). Problem is that swimming pool and gym close at 7:30pm, which is way too early to make use after return to the hotel after work or sight seeing.

We have stayed for 2 nights and found that the location of this hotel was convenience just few minutes walk from the Wan Chai station but during night time the surrounding area was noisy with music as pubs around, we even can here from our hotel room at 18th floor but overall was not too bad. Hotel staff was helpful. Overall service was great.

Great hotel, and loved it - great location, friendly staff, clean, very easy to get to from the airport. Only problem was the laundry bill when we left came as a bit of a shock. That was some very expensive washing! Despite this I would still recommend it.

Just what I was looking for. Great location, big room, great staff. Will be staying there again on thecreturn leg of my trip to China.

The hotel is fantastic value for money and in a great location if you are in Hong Kong for the nightlife, as it is in quite a noisy place. I have stayed there 3 times, and the recent reburbishment has made it a great deal better, as the decor is now really nice. I would definitely stay there again. It would be good if there were more Western TV stations, as there was only Chinese language TV to watch.

The best thing about this hotel is it's location. Only five mins away from Wan Chai metro (exitC) and if you like rowdy nightlife Lockhart st is just outside the door of the hotel. The shuttle bus from airport (HK$140) also stop at the hotel so this is a huge help. And there is a free shuttle van from hotel to Central station to go straight to airport@HK$100 (& where you can do airport check-in which is super convenient) And there're plenty of restaurants within 5 mins walking distance . A pleasant surprise for me is a free upgrade to superior room at no extra charge. The only minor issue is the bathroon is rather small and the ceiling is low for westerners but no problem for average Asian.

It was pretty cold and dark and no seats were provided in the lobby, ample space in the lobby was for nothing while guests were standing wearily with heavy lugguages. Good location and do not expect too much as you paid this amount for that only.

The air conditioning system is not cold enough and rather noisy. Hotel lobby was under renovation at the time of stay.

At the time of my stay the hotel was undergoing major renovations so dont if the price reflected this but for the type of room i got it was fair, dont expect the Hilton.. The reception area was limited and no place to sit in the foyer.. staff were good and very courteous.. room was very average and furniture bathroom very outdated.. I expect that when renovations are complete the price will increase accordingly. Good location close to MTR and Wan Chai and Cuaseway bay.

The room's very clean and peaceful, since the hotel's located on a pretty busy street. Very convenient to get around. Good service here, was very helpful when asking questions. Would consider staying there again.

I had a bad experience with service. One and a half hours and 3 phone calls to get an iron brought to the room! Very noisy aircon unit in the room and no way to turn it off. On the plus side, Airport Express bus stops at the door. Close to MTR and a reasonable rate for HK.

Had to turn off air con, the temp control didn't work, it was like a freezer in the room. Had constant problems using the lift, as for security you have to scan your room card to go up. Had to take it back to reception 4 times on the first day to be re-programmed, very frustrating. Only liquid soap in the bathroom, what's wrong with bars of soap? Great location the huge plus. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and overall would stay again.

My first stay in this hotel. Location is good and MTR is two blocks away. Rooms doesnt feel too comportable and they need some renovation soon. Stay was ok, but next time some will check other options.

Location Good, nearby Wanchai MTR and Tram& Bus stop are just 1 min walk Hotel is bit dark, cleaning was not every day, and rubbish not always taken out every room make up

All you need is around the hotel, service was excellent spent one day was bumped up to a suite all for the same cost 82 USD with 2 B/F

Stayed at the Empire many times srvice and the standard has improved over the years. I like this hotel and love the location MRT very close and so is the ferry woth the 81 USD I paid for the hotel and for HK prices that is a good deal !!!!!

Was upgraded at no extra cost and given FOC extra cot when we needed 2 beds to sleep in. Nice firm mattresses to sleep in and wonderful down pillows.

I stayed in a newly renovated room, a very nice surprise compared to the outside impression. All extras there like hot water, coffee, fridge, hairdryer etc. Very central. Staff very helpful for local information, concierge doesnt speak english, but is at least friendly.
