Empress Hotel Chiang Mai

My girlfriend and I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights in November 2011. It's a good hotel located reasonably close to the old city (tuk tuk ~60 bht), night bazaar (10 min walking) and the river. The hotel is clean if a bit dated. The breakfast buffet is pretty good.

Beautiful hotel at a reasonable price. Breakfast buffet provided a wide range of selection of delicious food. We returned to the hotel in the evening exhausted from a day of events, so we ordered room service which was very reasonable priced, served in less than an hours time and was very good.

Have stayed at Empress many times the past five years. Each year there are improvements. Now the basic rooms have new carpet and bathrooms. Great value. Cheaper on Asia Hotels than hotel web site. Easy booking, great stay. Excellent buffet breakfast.

The hotel is very clean ad the service is good - value for money.

Hard to fault - some of the rooms on the discount floors are looking a little tired, but overall very good value for money. Excellent buffet breakfast. Just a few minutes walk to the the 'night market/stalls'. Good safe area of town. Ideal for families.

Very nice rooms, except there was no safety box in my type of room although claimed in the description. The facilities are good, and the breakfast is excellent. Location is also great - within walking distance of most things. Staff is friendly. The wireless Internet did not work at first, which was really annoying when you have to work. On the other hand, the price for using the Internet was very fair compared to other hotels of this standard.

Very kind and helpful service. The hotel is very nice and pleasant. It has a nice pool, nice and clean rooms, and a good breakfast. It is located 15 minutes walk from the Night Bazar (use a Tuk Tuk for ~1$). The service is extremely good and all the stuff members are very kind. Very good value. I will definitely come back to this hotel.

Very nice authentic hotel.The surrounding view not very desireable but otherwise everything else about this hotel is excellent.although i Will stay here again but also tempted to try further in to the heart of the city.

LOVELY HOTEL, GOOD LOCATION , VERY CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE ROOMS WITH EXCELLENT POOL AND SURROUNDING AREA.

Great buffet breakfast, caters for all nationalities.
