Very cozy and elegant hotel, very convenient location, great rooms (especially the deluxe double rooms which are much bigger), friendly people and service. This is the place to stay while in Amsterdam !
found staff were not that friendly. also room was very dissapointing - hadnt been done up in a long time so felt very worn and old fashioned. that said the location was fantastic and also the lobby/library area and free tea/coffee hot chocolate were a bonus!
This hotel is a little jewel! It is centrally located and the staff couldn't do more to make you welcome. Complimentary hot drinks in the reception area was a pleasant surprise. There are plenty of places to eat locally and all the sights are within walking distance. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful few days at the Estherea. It was our anniversary and the hotel gave us a basket of freebies. Our room was lovely with a canal view and was clean and comfortable. Staff were courteous and always willing to help. I am really happy to recommend this delightful hotel to anyone as it offers excellent service.
Excellent hotel in an excellent, quiet location. Decor is clean, modern and exceptionally clean. Rooms are a good size (at least canal view ones are). Reception area is very welcoming. Free hot drinks, muffins and fruit all day. Staff very friendly, professional and helpful. Would highly recommend a stay here.
Location is on most central canal in the historic hart of Amsterdam. Brilliant classical styling. TIP: don't take a room on the Spuistreet because of the street noise.
This is a very lovely hotel. The room was very nice & very clean. The hotel had excellent facilities & the staff were very helpful. It is in an excellent location very close to Dam square and other main areas. It is right on the canal front. I would highly recommend this hotel.
The twin room allocated to us was very small. After one night in it we were moved to a very good room on the third floor. The staff were very courteous and helpful. We would definitely stay in it again.

Room service was good. Front desk people were helpful. Location was good but the streets were a quite dark when walking home at night. Very small room for the price of the accommodation.
Room was well equiped with extra pillows and blankets which I prefer. Located along a canal in a quiet part of town but still in the middle of the city so everything was walkable. Staff were courteous and gave excellent directions. Would recommend to everyone.
The Hotel has and is undergoing renovation work but this in no way affected the service. The staff were very polite and helpful. The meals were exellent and tea and coffee were provided free of charge 24 - 7. The rooms were clean, spacious and tastefully furished to 5* (star) standards. The bathrooms were well furished with all requirements, clean and spacious. All in all a very enjoyable stay and would not hesitate to re-book. Excellent.
I was, at first, a little dubious at the thought of a family-run hotel but I was most pleasantly surprised. Having been used to large chains it was refreshing to experience great, personal service. The hotel was lovely, perfectly situated and very reasonably proced. I'd go again!
