About 15 min walk from Rome Metro Station. Nonetheless, direct bus from outside hotel Champs-Elysees and Galleries La Fayette. Generally, quite a old hotel. The carpet was quite not very clean. Luckily the room was very kept and the toilet is small but clean. It would be better if you provide kettle in the room.
This is a great hotel for a short break, very clean, good facilities and good service although we passed on the 15 Euro each for breakfast as there are plenty of cafes' nearby. The only slight downside is the location which is a good 15 minute+ walk to a metro station, longer if you have cases and you want to go on public transport to and from the airport. Other than that buses run nearby into the city appx 5-10 minutes. All in all though recommended.
Very small room, but comfortable bathroom (no wall hook for the shower, so you have to hold it). No tea/coffee making facilities. Good Wi-Fi connection to free Neuf (unsecure) service, but not very good signal from Paris Wi-Fi.
Lovely, charming hotel - smallish rooms, but very comfortable with much attention to detail. Could be closer to the center, however, station across the road, or only a short taxi (9-10Euro) ride to get to all major sights. Would stay there again, although next time would choose another property in the 'Les Hotels de Paris' portfolio since I understand Les Hotels de Paris have properties around Paris, and if Villa Eugenie is anything to go by, then the other boutique hotels in that chain must be equally charming.
The gentleman at breakfst made us feel like being at boarding school dinner room where things were being rationed. Could provide without having to ask for food.
service was great, reception staff especially, but location was a tad off, and know chance of a late night snack....decor was totally charming
Nice hotel but a bit out of the way. No where near the Champs Elysees. Make sure you get a room NOT facing the front - very noisy with trains. Air-con didn't work. Good breakfast though.
good price/quality rate, just in front a small railwaystation at 2 minutes of the city center.... location was very good for us
Overall the hotel looked nice and decore was typically French however there were a number of problems in what was a superior room booked: Mini fridge did not work, No Ironing board/iron, There was no access to TV films / pay per view, Shower did not work properly, flooded the bathroom when switched on bar in hotel shuts at 21.00.
We had a great stay at Eugenie apart from two minor problems: I asked for a non-smoking twin room but unfortunately we had to spend the first night in a smoking double. They changed it the next day. Also the breakfast room was terribly underheated - there was 2 C degrees outside and about 8 inside, we could easily catch a cold sitting there since we weren't prepared with winter coats for breakfast. When I complained about it at the reception, we could have the breakfast in the heated room free of charge. The hot breakfast was in fact only cold continental - they said they had a problem with gas in the kitchen for the entire lenght of our stay (3 nights). Other than these, the hotel was very nice, "girlish" style with large enough rooms for sleeping there and a pleasant bathroom.
I really recommend this hotel. The staff is charming and efficient. The rooms are very comfortable, nice bathrooms. The price, for these rooms,is very competitive.
Distance to the nearest metro is about 7-8 minutes away The breakfast has also got good choices,
Very good value for money and better than we had expected, we would definitely stay there again.
This hotel is in no way a 4 star hotel. The rooms are well furnished but shabby and tiny (there was no room in our twin room to separate beds!). Staff, location and breakfast great however.
I found the hotel to be very comfortable. Our room was beautifully decorated. The bathroom lighting was especially nice. The breakfast buffet, atmosphere, and service were first rate. The location of this hotel for tourists to Paris is not good being very far from the main attractions. The advertisement for the hotel on the internet said "Direct Internet Access", but I found out that only meant I could pay for Orange WiFi from this hotel. I would rate this hotel a 7.5 to 8.0. We really did enjoy our stay.
A nice hotel with friendly staff. A little out there as far as location is concerned. but don't be put off, when we booked it was by far the best value for money in Paris.
Beautiful little hotel! Friendly staff! Great continental breakfast! Highly recommend.
Located next to the major railway tracks which is not really a big problem, noise is always a problem in Paris anyway. Rooms are typically small but comfortable and the staff were good and helpful especially at the reception. A few minutes walk to the metro and 5 to 10 minutes taxi to major shopping area and tourist spots. Would have no problems with staying at the Eugenie again.
Lovely hotel, very well presented with excellent furnishings thoughout. pleasant staff and a great nights sleep.
Our room was compact but nice. The room faced the street and is a little noisy because of the street and train traffic. Parking is about 10 minutes away and the Metro is also about 12 minutes.
