"I stayed here with my friends in Edinburgh. The rooms were adequate, although a bit small and dingy compared to some other student accommodation at Scottish universities. We really appreciated the kitchen facilities, which were very nice. The central location is great for getting to Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile and night life in the Old Town. However, because of its proximity to bars, there is a lot of noise from people returning home during the wee hours of the morning, so those seeking a good night's sleep would be better off staying in a quieter, more residential area." - Andrew Forsyth

"bedrooms need mirrors. bedrooms need washbasins. 'Apartment' is a total misnomer - it is a room, with access to communal bathrooms and kitchen/lounge. Bedroom waste bins should be emptied daily - this means weekends as well." - Anonymous

Each year Euro Hostels lease apartments from the university while the students are on their summer holidays. For 2009, we have the prime property on offer! Kincaid''s Court is situated about 5 to 10 minutes walk from Waverly Station. Located on the Cowgate, we are within easy walking distance of Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, Grassmarket and much more.

Getting there: The short, but steep way with stairs (not good with luggage) is this: Take the Market Street exit from Waverley Station, cross the street and walk up Fleshmarket Close, turn left at Cockburn Street to the Royal Mile. Cross over the Royal Mile and walk through Hunter Square and down Blair Street towards Cowgate. Turn right at Cowgate and walk for about 100metres. We are located on the corner of Guthrie Street.

The longer way but easier with luggage (see map next page) is this: Exit Waverley Train Station from the Market Street exit. Turn to your left and veer right up Jeffrey Street. Carry on along Jeffrey Street until you reach the High Street (also known as the Royal Mile). Cross over the High Street and straight ahead onto St Mary''s Street. Walk down until you reach the road known as Cowgate. Turn right along the Cowgate for about 300metres. Kincaids Court is located on the left hand side on the corner of Guthrie St. You’re here - enjoy the city-centre.
Car parking: Car Parking is available from 3pm (check-in time) until 3 pm the next day at a rate of just £9.00!
Child Policy: Euro Hostels sell on a per bed basis. Any children using a bed will need to pay our standard rate. Sharing with a parent is free of charge.
