Overall, the hotel had some high points and low points. Some of the high points included being bumped to a double from a single, and the bed was excellent. Also, the hotel was in a good location, just a 5-6 minute tram ride from Dam Square, and closer to Leidseplein and Museumplein. Also, the tram stop was maybe 100 feet from the door of the hotel. Some of the negatives included were a slow drain in the shower, and the interior was a bit dated. Also, the stairs were very steep (although, you'd get this at any hotel in an older building in Amsterdam). And cigarette smoke wafted up from rooms below into my room, despite having the window closed.
Smoking Europeans at breakfast in the basement was a bit weird but good selection of breakfast foods
will be staying here on return to Amsterdam
Very small room (single room) and if you have too many bags/luggage good luck to you...you probably have to sleep on top of your suitcases... The room was cleaned every day and it is OK for a couple of days. it is close to public transport and can walk to the center (around 15min walk)...overall it is one of the cheapest places I could find and having seen some other joints this one is not that bad...(you also get free breakfast...).
Fine hotel for those wanting to stay away from the busy part of the city, convenient for the Van Gogh and Reiksmuseum
An average hotel, room is small as expected. Breakfast are normal as usual; location rather ok as it is easily accessible by tram to the rest of the city. Service is good, the staff is always friendly, helpful and really polite, that is the deepest impression I have for this hotel
The general appearance of the hotel was not clean. But the hotel served the purpose of having a place to sleep over nights. Breakfast was very basic. All together I have stayed in much nicer hotels around Europe, which are approximately same price range. But the location is very good, slightly out of touristic center, but still very central within walking distance from great shopping, restaurants and museums.
Friendly staff. Good basic family hotel.
avoid the rooms facing to the street in front of the hotel - the noise level is simply unacceptable.
Our bedroom was at the front of the hotel so was rather noisy as on tram route. Bedroom was a good size, would have been nice to have tea/ coffee facilities in the room.
A rather average hotel, but a reasonable price.
I have no complaints what so ever, I did enjoy my time there especially the breakfast provided was exceptionally excellent i would recommend any mind traveller to make a stop there.
I have stayed at this hotel more than once, nice clean economy hotel, close enough to leides plein and the museum district, there is a tram stop within 60 meters.
Friendly clean hotel, located near to art museums and within walking distance to Leidsplein which is where the main eating area is.
The staff were helpful, and the rooms have very modern bathrooms and the bed's are fine. The staff were very helpful and nice. All in all, it is 5 minutes walking from Leidesplein and there you can take the tram all over Amsterdam.
Staff were extremely helpful and solicitous. Receptionist phoned a new museum- which wasn't on any maps- to get directions for us. Very convenient location, not only for sights but also for airport - 20 mins by taxi costing 34 euros. Overall, would stay there again and would not hesitate to recommend it to others.
Good Hotel in a quiet area on the fringes of the city center close to the tram network.
The hotel is situated within a tram ride of the central station. It was clean and tidy but the single lift was small and the extensive corridors and stairs were not easy to navigate. Despite that, an enjoyable stay in a realitively spacious room.
The hotel was conveniently located near Leidsplein within walking distance to most places. The choices in breakfast and the service were excellent. On the whole, the hotel is a good value for money.
A good size family bedroom and nice breakfast room. Well located for museums and an easy tram ride from the station.
