"If you are after a quiet alternative to Lake Como then this is a place to consider. We slurged & paid extra for a lake facing terrace & are glad we did.
The facilities are average (our bathroom exhaust fan made a lot of noise) but to sit out on the terrace in the evening & to see the sunlight moving down the mountains in the morning more than made up for it.
The family who own the place are very friendly, but some of the staff in the restaurant need to "lift their game" especially as the prices are not cheap.
Location, location, location. But don't come if you want to party the night away. Better for a quiet romantic getaway with some exploring of the area & the odd trip over to Lake Como." - Anonymous

The Hotel Europa is situated on beautiful Lake Lugano, surrounded by fantastic mountain and lake scenery. 13 km far form Lugano city.
The hotel is an excellent choice for young people and families and is ideal for fishing, windsurfing and waterskiing.
The hotel has a private car park, garage, solarium, garden, restaurant with terrace with a view of the lake, safe, bar, TV room, lift to every floor, banqueting hall and meeting room. There is also a private landing place for boats.
Every room has a private bathroom, satellite television and telephone.

BY CAR
The nearest motorway is the one skirting Lugano. From here take the Lugano Sud exit. Once you reach the lake turn left, then stay in the right-hand lane. This will take you out of Lugano towards Porlezza (13km from Lugano).
BY TRAIN/CAR
After leaving Lugano station, turn right and continue straight on until the first traffic lights. Here turn left until you reach the promenade. Once you reach the lake, turn left then follow the directions above to Porlezza.
BY BOAT
Follow the above directions to Lugano promenade. Just opposite the Tourist Information Office you will find the jetty. A boat departs from here to Porlezza at 1415.
