Eurostars Das Artes Hotel Porto Guest Reviews

5 out of 5

We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and the area around the hotel looked strangely deserted and run down; we were quite worried we had chosen poorly. How wrong we were. The hotel is is a very quiet neighbourhood right near the city centre; we walked there through mostly shopping strip in two minutes. The interior of the hotel and the facilities were excellent. Only hesitation was the strange bacon on the breakfast buffet.

5 out of 5

The staff are really kind and helpfull. The hotel and the rooms are really nice. The hotel is at a short walking distance from the city centre of Porto. There is a large choice at the breakfast buffet in the morning, and everything is really good.

A really excellent hotel - with excellent staff. Within comfortable walking distance from all you need to see in Porto. The hotel is also located near many superb restaurants. One blot was that we couldn't stay at the hotel on the first night because of a mix up with the hotel computer system. However, the hotel put us up in a 5 Star hotel with breakfast and placed a bottle of champagne in our room the following night to make up for everything. One of the reasons I enjoyed Portugal and Porto so much was this hotel!

Friendly and helpful reception staff. The cleaning staff did a good job of tyding and cleaning the room. The Hotel was modern and located in a convenient and quite location. The room was very comfortable for the two of us. We did not choose to have breakfast.

A conveniently located hotel with modern facilities. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly at all times, especially the Reception staff. Impressed enough to willingly recommend this hotel.

Room & bathroom spacious. Located not too good, in a small street with very few shops & deserted rather early at night.

Very good hotel - nice, tastefully designed, clean and comfortable. Our room was not very large, but comfortable, well equiped and quite. Bathroom clean and large. Brekfast sufficient. The location is central but quite strange, so one should to make clear the idea of the streats of the city of Porto before. Access by car is quite easy, there is parking in the hotel, costs 10 EUR per day

Rooms are very good, and quiet but with view over rundown housing and flats at rear. The hotel is a good 20 minutes [downhill] walk to the waterfront - much longer coming back, the hills are very steep, but Taxis are cheap. Reception staff charming and very helpful. Poor bar service, and rather inflexible seating arrangements at breakfast.

Nice, modern clean hotel with parking. All places in Porto are difficult to get to if traveling by car... so do your research before you arrive.

Nice, shiny and modern hotel at 10 min. walk from the historical center. Absolutely calm in the night because the main complex is situated off the street and surrounded by greenery. Complete breakfast for 10€ extra charge. The hotel is worth the money you are paying for.

Excellent hotel. Really nice facilities (the beds are huge - and really comfortable). Probably the best hotel we stayed in over a 6 week period of travelling. Excellent value for money and would definitly stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay so much last year we returned this year. The breakfast is well worth the extra cost, hassle free and a huge selection of foods on offer to choose from.

I've checked previous reviews and concluded that this hotel is clearly overated. It's an average hotel with an average service.

An excellent hotel, nothing was too much trouble for the staff, the breakfast was superb, the location good, the quayside and centre could both be reached on foot in about 15 minutes. Good restaurants close to the hotel and a good bar in the next street, Lobby. Would highly recommend this hotel.
