Eurostars Gaudi Hotel Barcelona Guest Reviews

3 out of 5

From the window we could see the towers of the Sagrada Familia which is close to the hotel. Metro Stop Monumental is within a stone's throw from the hotel. Our room was clean and big enough for us. The shower was at first difficult to use but then we learned how it works. Beds were a little bit too hard. Air- conditioning was ok. Breakfast was very good. The room had a safe.

The location is great, walking distance from Sagrada Familia and not very far from centre and the beach. We stayed in double room for three nights and we were very pleased with the room and cleanliness. First night our room was overheated as we did not know that setting on the heater is not working and it needs to be switched of completely. When we tried to slept with open window the street was a bit noisy as the hotel is situated in the street crossing. But overall the experience was very good and we would return to this hotel if we ever visit Barcelona again.

The hotel has a beautiful view of Sagra da Familia on 7th and 8th floors. It is very close to it and has a very good connection to the city center (subway station is just around the corner), however if you want to be real close to the city center, you should look for hotels in La Rambla, this is not your place. The hotel is a member of Eurostars hotel chain, hence they keep a decent quality standard. Rooms are clean, facilities and service are ok. But rooms are a bit small and compared to some other Eurostars hotels (e.g., Eurostars Thalia, Prag), they are inferior. In terms of price/satisfaction ratio, you can find hotels better than this, although it will cost you time and the incremental increase may be negligible.

The entire setup of the hotel is not very welcoming. The staff do not seem very knowledgeable about where to eat etc. The restaurant for breakfast was in the basement with no windows; The food was extremely over-priced and of very poor quality. They had one laptop there for free internet use, but to be shared amongst too many guests. When we checked in there were two other guests who had issues with their bookings. It was very close to the Metro and the Sagrada Familia, but I would prefer to stay farther away in a better hotel. We also stayed at the U232 hotel while we were there, and I would highly recommend that one instead of this.

we enjoyed our stay at the Eurostar Gaudi in Barcelona. We had booked the romantic package which included breakfast, a bottle of bubbly and a balconey. On arrival we were told that only 3 rooms had a balconey and we were lucky to get one. Without the balcony which was almost bigger than the room we would have been disappointed as the room itself was average size but well appointed. We found the price high for the value but still, we greatly enjoyed our stay.

200 euros a night for a tiny room is very expensive. However, the room was excellently furnished; modern & clean. The staff were nice and the breakfast was good.
