Hotelli on hyvällä paikalla lähellä zoo-julkisten kulkuneuvojen asemaa. Huoneet siistejä, ehkä hieman pienehköjä. Aamupala hyvä ja runsas. Avulias henkilökunta. Suosittelen sisäpihan huoneita.Hyvä valinta ainakin viikonloppureissulle :)
we just had a small issue with the door, which is very difficult to close as the wooden frame was damaged and the lock was not in a perfect shape. but we managed to learn how to safely lock our room :) we enjoyed our stay in the hotel overall!
Good check in and out, but noticed a ringing noise in the background all the time. When trying to call the front desk with a question I quit after 27 rings and walked down to the desk...still ringing phones! The worst is the WiFi scam! Free 30 minutes from the Cloud each day, but days don't seem to be 24 hour periods??? It's stupid for a hotel not to have free WiFi throughout the facility, maybe they just need the extra money? Evidence the overworked desk staff not answering the phones. Our second trip turns out to be our last.
Little things can make all the difference! Location was ok, however everything seemed to be an effort. When we checked in we had not remote for the TV, and no key given to us for the lock up. We had to request both. After first day shower, we discovered that the soap all needed to be refilled, again we had to ask. Staff were not rude, however seemed maybe "too busy". I would not stay there again I don't think.
Staff was friendly and the location is great. Quiet rooms although could have been a bit tidier. Really close to the underground and restaurants.
A very centrally located modern hotel, close to public transport and with very nice, light rooms and extremely comfortable beds. Breakfast is wonderful, and staff were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. There was work going on in the room above me, with drilling and hammering, but only during regular working hours. Nice lobby with free internet access and books to borrow. Recommended!
The hotel is a 5-minute walk away from Bahnhof Zoo and conveniently located. While making the booking, I neglected to notice that the room rate did not include breakfast. The charge for an average buffet breakfast (completely self-service) was a steep 18 Euros. Except for the breakfast charge, I would recommend this hotel.
Excellent position near the public transport hub of Zoological gardens. Clean and tidy, with helpful staff. Ideal for people who have things to do in Berlin, as it is a perfect place to start from each morning.
Centrally located, but a little worn out. We got a smokers' room which was not okay, as it stinked! When we asked to get a non smoking room, we were only offered a tiny room with a small bed. It is still annoying that smoking is allowed, as corridors stink as wells. Apart from that the hotel was okay, but not one I would spend to many calories recommending.
Good location for shopping and walking tours from the zoo station. Staff very helpful and the hot buffet breakfast is excellent. The bar is very pricey at 12.60 euros for a pint and a glass of wine!! Go left out of the main doors down to the corner to the filmbuhne where you will get good food and drink at a very resonable price. We would stay at this hotel again, but not on the top floor as the air con is a bit noisy! but didn't stop us from sleeping.
This is a pleasant hotel although a little dated as the decor was very 80's. The staff where extremely pleasant and helpful throughout our stay.
Well-situated hotel only a walk away from the Zoo metro-station. The breakfast buffet is very good. The rooms are quite nice and clean. The staff is helpful.
As a first time visitor this was a really good base. Transport links are all virually on the doorstep. Go for a room at the rear as it is quieter. Would definitely recommend this to a friend. There is a nice little Italian restaurant - Latino - about 5 mins walk. Turn left out of entrance and take the first left then @ 100 metres on the right.
Staff were very helpful and the location is excellent for shopping and restaurants. It's about 600/700 yards off some main shopping streets but it's on a quiet street. Therefore it is quiet outside but you haven't hard to go to get to the activity. The zoo is less than 1km away. Europa centre same. KaDeWe is approx 1km/2km away. All very walkable. I would recommend this hotel.
A good location in the city centre a few hundred yards from the airport bus stop and the Sbahn and Ubahn station. Walking distance from the top of the Ku'dam and the main city tour bus stops. Friendly staff and a good value restaurant. We would stay here again.
Bedrooms somewhat small and rather tired. Could do with refurbishment. Breakfast buffet good, but tables cramped, lacking space with too many people. Staff helpful and friendly. Ideal location with Sbahn station 2 minutes away.
Enjoyed my stay at the Berlin Excelsior. Good location, service very good and a very good breakfast. I would go back to this hotel.
Helpfull staff. Very good breakfast. Rooms quite hot, air conditioning noisy, but if you had window open made it cooler but being on a main street meant it was noisy, but it didnt stop me sleeping. Very central and convienient for transport and shops and resturants
The hotel is quite pleasant and in a good location to get around the city by bus or tube (from the Zoo Station). I would recommend getting the bus to places like the airport (15/20mins) or the parliment building (20 mins) as service is very good. The people reception were helpful in advising of places to go eat. The clientelle is of a maturer age so I wouldn't recommend the hotel to under 30's who should stay closer to Mitte, but all in all I had a very nice stay.
EXCELLENT LOCATION AND FRIENDLY STAFF MADE OUR VISIT A VERY ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE,CHEERS
