Hotel was very clean with modern bathroom fittings even though from the exterior its looks like the old classical European type hotel. It was used, by German army during WWII, to house victims prior to sending them to Auswitz
The room was exactly what I would expect from France. So Charming!!! It was an easy walk to everything including the train station. The staff was helpful and friendly. They had an elevator which not all of the traditional building have. That was a real plus since we were on the third floor. Good size individual bathroom. If we go back to Nice I will stay there. The only suggestion would to get new, nicer bed spreads.
Very nice hotel, despite the renovation going on outside. Two minute walk from the railway station where the airport bus drops off, ten minute walk down to the promenade and the sea, little grocers shop a couple of blocks down and the main shopping area only a stroll away. Nice bathroom and decor better than most.
Very close to Nice railway station, that was the main reason I chose to stay at this hotel as I had an early morning train to catch to Paris. Rooms were reasonably large, continental breakfast was nice. A bit pricey
Location is very good, close to railway station, 15 min walk to Promenade des Anglais. Hotel looks nice outside, but a bit outdated inside. The worst thing was a double bed with two matresses that kept separating. There were also some issues with A/C. But the staff is very nice and helpful, so we had a good time.
Great location extremely close to the train station.
A beautiful old hotel located close to the station. Smartly decorated with friendly service and a lovely courtyard
good hotel close to the station.
Great hotel, the staff on the first day, was very rude in her explanation as to why the AC was switch off, eventhough I specially ordered an A/C room. She gave all kinds of stupid excuses that its not warm, that the manager was not here, but after arguing with her for 10 minutes, she finally called her manager and her manager switched on the A/C. The rest of the expirence with all the staff was above average.
Excellent location to Train Station and local (tram) Train. Basic hotel otherwise, Rooms small, furniture cramped,
The hotel is perfectly situated for all those coming by airport bus or by train (3 min walk from the station). To get to the beach we walked 20 min, to the tram 10 min. We could change to a quiet room towards the nice inner court and slept with open windows. The only negative was the coffee at breakfast. We are used to all varieties of national coffee tastes but this was no coffee at all. Perhaps there was a problem with the machine.
We Enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Very convenient to train station and the tram line.
Nice hotel close to main train station. 10min walk to shops 20min walk to beach. Overall pretty good hotel, excellent value.
Has a faded grandeur, though the location is ideal being very close to Av Jean Medicin. It was about a 10 minute walk to Place Massaena. Room was ok, though the separate toilet and bathroom did confuse me a bit, especially with them being behind 'cupboard' doors.
The hotel is very close to the railway station. It has an excellent buffet breakfast. The rooms were nice and spacious. It has an elevator.
Great location if you need to be near the main station. Hotel cleanliness very good, front staff very nice people - helpful. We had a buzzing sound in our room and were moved immediately. Breakfast consisted of 1 x cereal, crossaints, yoghurt, cold meat, booiled eggs, cheese, tea, coffee, juice and water. About 10-15 min walk to restaurants/prominade.
Nice clean hotel just 1 minute from the main SNCF station in Nice. Easy to get to via airport bus service.
Great location, good hotel, close to railway station, handy for trips all the coast
Great price and very conveniently located near train station and a 10 min walk to beach.
Our room was beatuiful and spacious for Europe standard with a nice renovated bathroom. The location is close to the station which has it's good points if you are travelling by train with a lot of luggage and negative as the area can be a bit seedy. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was great.
