This hotel is located in a business park, and only really suited to those with a car, as it is remote from most of Cambridge. The rooms were good. The breakfast was not very enticing (low variety, processed junk), but the coffee machine was fine. The paid wireless internet was terrible, so bad in fact that we asked for a refund and got it (they use an outside company).
A lovely hotel in which to stay. Clean, fresh and airy with comfortable, well prepared rooms and helpful staff. The breakfast choice had also improved since my last stay. Given that I enjoy walking and didn't have limiting time constraints, the walk into the town was enjoyable, but the location would probably not appeal to everyone. I was a little disappointed to be told that, having forgotten to bring my priority card, there was no way of crediting my points to me once I was back home. Nevertheless, I would stay at this hotel again, at the right price.
Check in excellent, staff very friendly & helpful. Good bar service however snack food menu not very extensive.Would definately saty again.
The rooms were very small and very hot even with the air conditioning on (which seemed to have no effect).
Very helpful and friendly staff. Evening meal selection could do with being a bit more varied. I would stay with there again though most definatly or at any other Holiday Inn Express.
The location is poor if you are relying on public transport. From the city centre it involves a bus ride and a 10 minute walk (the walkway is poorly lit at night). The Cambridge tourist information office further compounded this difficulty, by being poorly informed on the location of this hotel, and instructed us to take an even less direct bus route, which resulted in a 20 minute walk. Not fun with luggage! I thought it quite expensive for the facilities. For the price I would expect mini-bar and room service available, and individual toiletries in the rooms rather than soap and shampoo dispensers. But perhaps I am being unjust in comparing it to Australian hotel pricing, rather than the rest of England.
