We stayed for one night and found this hotel to be sufficient for our needs, including a basic evening meal with drinks. Would consider staying here again if accommodation is required in the area.
situated on the A2. No access on foot to local amenities (except 1 pub about a mile up the A2). very convenient for Channel ports and for driving into Canterbury.
We've stayed here several times en route to and from Dover, and no doubt will stay there again. Hotel is clean, rooms are comfortable (but you can here noise from A2 road), and staff are friendly and helpful. This Holiday Inn Express serves evening meals - basic but cooked to order - as well as offering continental breakfast, which we found very useful. Close (4 miles by car) to Canterbury if you are interested in sightseeing.
Overall this is a good clean motel. Rooms are of a good size. Location is about 6ks out of town - which in one is good as it is out of the hustle and the bustle. Getting back from in town is no real drama with the GPS. The only issue I had was that they advertised a special for Dinner but was not available on either night because large groups had booked out the resturant.
Excellent for the price we paid and ideal for a stop over before our early morning ferry from Dover to Calais.
The hotel was fairly conveniently located for Canterbury, but was difficult to access from canterbury itself. Rooms were well designed but a little small. We arrived around midday but could not check in until 2 pm, although the rooms were ready. This was a little annoying after just arrving after an overnight flight from the USA.
No internet access. No help available to solve the problem. No possibility to get electricity for my personal computer.
The hotel is of a high standard and represents good value for money.
