Great resort, very relaxing and enjoyable experience.
Staff were friendly and facilities were good.
We loved this place. The food and room service was a bit pricy for what you got but it's quite close to Leura and Katoomba for meals. The pool was awesome and the gym was very well equipped. It was close to all the attractions and the rooms were awesome too. It had a great atmosphere and we just loved feeling like we were at a resort instead of a hotel. It feels like a log cabin getaway and we will definitely be staying there again - probably for longer next time!!!
Not very impressed. Wouldn't go back. Very dated but staff were great!
A little tatty round the edges but good service and a very clean room made up for it. We had golf and tennis planned but the weather didn't allow so made use of the indoor sporting facilities which were great, clean and sport centre staff helpful.
Making a comeback under receivership - good condition for a 20-year-old hotel - staff very friendly and accommodating - only real flaw was the buffet which was not good value at $40 with food not kept hot. We will stay there again and happily recommend
Great family-oriented resort. Will definitely come back if the pricing is right.
For the price, this hotel represents great value. I have stayed in plenty of other hotels, with higher ratings, and this hotel is far superior. Good facilities, friendly staff, and the seafood buffet fanatstic. Will definitely return.
Picturesque setting. Staff were very pleasant and attentive putting effort into restoring this hotel to its former standards and reputation. The bedroom was clean and tidy with good linen and towels. Embers Bar supplied good casual dinning and ambiance. The other two restaurants provide quality dining but are not opening most evenings at the present time. The numerous facilities all appeared to be of a good standard for a resort of this type. Over all it was a most enjoyable experience.
We were told it was a bit run down but the new owners have done a great job in getting back to its former glory. It was very pleasent sitting around the open fire whilst having an afternoon drink, the food in the restaurant was first class and the staff could not be more helpfull. We would recommend a nice quiet weekend away.
We stayed for one night and absolutely loved it. We booked the 1 bedroom deluxe, it was furnished very nicely, well equipped. the indoor pool and spa was beatuiful and warm for a winters night. Would recommend it for anyone.
Quite adequate
The room was clean and well-sized. Dinner at the hotel was very disappointing - the meals came out luke-warm rather than hot and tasted very bland. The hotel is also a 45 minute walk into Leura town so it's best to have your own car.
Service was terrible. The Fairmont seems to have had a turn-over of staff and the service was nothing like what we expected. I would think twice befre paying full price to stay.
The resort is very nice and clean.although the design is a bit old. we enojyed and can receommedn it.
The complementary hot buffet breakfast was among the worst offered. But the bar restaurant did serve very nice club sandwiches and wedges.
Was a great stay, shame the indoor pool was closed!
Always enjoy our stay at the Fairmont.the location is like no other in the blue mountains, with the misty mornings and the bushland. We enjoyed the golf and the swimming pool and spa, and the buffet breakfast although it was a busy weekend the staff seemed to cope.
