This has the potential to be great place, but lack of attention to detail and poor customer service let it down.
Went there for the experience in staying overnight in the rain forest. Cabin accommodation was unique and the restaurant complex and pool was very impressive. Our cabin was fairly mouldy which is to be expected in a the tropics I suppose, and the cistern was on its last legs - leaking water and barely hanging onto the wall, however it was seen to promptly by a staff member with a silicone gun! I wont complain about the tariff as it is probably only a once in a lifetime visit for us. I rate it 3 stars and thought it was OK.
All our Ferntree Hostel cabins are air-conditioned with ensuite bathrooms. Enjoy full access to resort features such as outdoor swimming pool, BBQ area, volleyball court, TV lounge, Bar and entertainment area, communal kitchen, guest laundry, parking and tour desk.”
Poolside Rooms provide a resort feel with an upstairs private balcony overlooking the lagoon style pool. Rooms have a spacious living and sleeping area and ensuite facilities with bath and shower. One king bed or two single beds, and a day bed and lounge.
Set amongst the tropical gardens, these rooms are perfect for families or couples. Comfortable and spacious, they feature a separate loft bedroom that sleeps two with ease. The downstairs area features a lounge and verandah deck overlooking the lush gardens. Rooms feature 1 king bed and two singles.
Setting, Reception area, Restaurant and Pools excellent. Accomodation unit not so good. Broken bottom rails at decking area, mirror streaked and useless, windows dirty, blinds cacked in grime, fridge noisy and with rusted door and poor lighting
We stayed for 2 nights in the hotel room (pool room_with nice deck) and it was a great stay. Louvered windows to the whole wall. So we looked into the rainforest...just beautiful. would stay again
Enjoyed the quiet peaceful location of this accommodation. Up near Cape Trib. and all the facilities but sufficiently removed from the more boisterous youthful areas. Delightful surroundings and gardens. Liked the way the cars had to be parked in a central parking area and not near the cabins. The "tropical' breakfast was a good way to start the day and evening meals at the same cafe were enjoyable and well priced. We booked into the "standard" level of chalets which was adequate but would more appropriately be classified as basic.
We were upgraded to Coconut Beach Resort, which was a nice surpise and we enjoyed our time spent there.
Great location, nice room at the pool side allowing a quite relaxing vacation. Good breakfast. Staff very helpful. Only negative was no TV or Internet.
close to supermarket. 10 minutes walk to beach. Rooms large and clean. Very quiet at night.
Breakfast was included each day! Excellent value for money
