"The building the hotel style rooms were in needed some plants and pictures in the hallway. Plus they should remove the daggy carpet and tile it. The restaurant and pool area looked great and the ladies at reception were very helpful with booking tours. It took about 10 minutes to walk to the city centre. Oh and the food was really tasty, the prices were a bit steep for a 3 star hotel though. " - Bec Rowe

Figtree Lodge is an award-winning, 3.5 star, privately owned/operated boutique style hotel, located just minutes from Cairns Central Business District and airport. Awarded the Tropical North Queensland Tourism Award for Standard Accommodation in 2007. The unique open plan design is set amidst tropical landscaped gardens and built with the extensive use of natural timbers. 46 standard rooms & 10, studio apartments complete with kitchenettes.
In the heart of the property is ‘Willie McBrides’ Restaurant & Irish Bar. The Irish Bar is a fabulous example of an authentic Victorian Dublin Pub – a charming reminder of days gone by. Willie McBrides restaurant is famous for it’s superb steaks, sensational seafood and regional cuisine, popular with locals and visitors alike. Choose indoor dining in the corral or outdoor dining on the pool deck.

From the Airport, (approx 8 minutes) head towards the City Centre taking the Captain Cook Highway. After several minutes travelling South turn RIGHT at the lights into JAMES STREET at the intersection of the SHELL service station. Immediately in front of you is a roundabout. Turn LEFT into MCLEOD STREET. Approximately 50 meters along, turn LEFT into THOMAS STREET. We are located immediately on the RIGHT taking up the entire corner.
From the City/Train Station (approx 5 minutes) head NORTH along the Captain Cook Highway. A BIG landmark is the huge Captain Cook Statue located on the right. Only 100 metres past this on the LEFT you will find the Figtree Lodge, taking up the corner of SHERIDAN STREET & THOMAS STREET.

AFTER HOURS: After hours is via Willie McBride's Restaurant located on Thomas Street. Late arrivals should be advised at the time of reservation.
From 22:00pm – 6:00am, Figtree Lodge employs a Night Watchman to facilitate 24 hour check in.
