Fitzpatrick’s is an old hotel from the glory days of 1900’s . A heritage style B&Bwith a rambling English garden .We arrived after 8pm after a long drive from Strahan. Host Pam keep the kitchen open and cooked a lovely meal. I had Lamb and my wife sampled the wild rabbit . both were excellent . After a cooked breakfast next morning we continued our trip refreshed and invigorated.
Hosts Pam and Roger were great, meeting all our requirements for a large party of hungry guys, with thirst's to match. A great place to stay, eat and sleep and I would highly recommend anyone making it their choice of accomodation. Great Bar!

The hotel is attractive and welcoming. The owners are friendly and helpful. I hadn't realised that we had to share a bathroom, but that wasn't as bad as I thought. The window sills and corners needed a dust. The home made stewed fruit and proper tea pot tea were a bonus.
If you want to mix with the friendly locals - who stop into the front bar in the afternoons - or feel as though you are the guest in an Agatha Christie movie then Fitzpatrick's inn is a great place to visit. Rooms are old fashioned furnished and clean. Breakfast (Cont) included and it comes with locally made jams for the toast.Hosts are just the right amount of friendly and efficient without being annoying and are very professional. Restuarant has a great chef or you can have (still chef cooked) a pub menu in the front bar. Easy walk to local historical stuff but also a great launch for other Tassie attractions by car. i spent a lovely couple of days there in between other travels. A great stay all round.
Located between Launceston and Devonport (ferry terminal) just off highway in small quiet country town. Lovely gardens, continental breakfast served in dining room. Room basic but clean, shower, toilet, electric blankets, heater, kettle, tea/coffee, no fridge, small tv. Restaurant available, but not visited so can't comment.
