This is not a 5 star hotel, but for the price it was fine! Clean and friendly.
We stayed here for one week in December (pre-season). The room was nice, it's not the Ritz, but it was a nice value for the price. Our room was a balcony suite right on the beach, we had lounge chairs and a great view of the waves. The staff was nice and friendly. there were two large pools, one facing the beach, and one in the protected courtyard if the winds got too bad. The on site restaurant serves a buffet 3 times a day, with a good selection of food. You can choose all included or pay per meal.

start off, beach was beautiful, windy but hotel can not control. rooms and facility was very clean but when asked about the free internet, they said had changed offer months ago. we only booked it 2 weeks befor traveling. can not use phone cards in the room. lobby smeeled of potent cologne where the bedroom smelled of deodorizer. staff front desk and restaurant very cold. Buffet ..taste bland not appeatizing.
pool had daily activies and lunch by the pool bar.
the hotel staff at the front desk not friendly or helpful. Location of the hotel is very goodl walking distance to shopping areas. no coffee maker in the room, AC did not work that well.
Second time in a rowe i have stayed there and they say my resevations arnt in, they want to hold a credit card till they come in from orbits, they imediattly try to charge the card, its a scam, they try to blaim it on orbits, fortunatley i called cc company and told them not to let charges go thru without my ok, prolly cant recommend anymore
We just returned from this resort. It was a wonderful vacation. The resort is small but very clean. The staff is great and the service they give is wonderful, I would recommend this resort to all travelers who want a great value and a great vacation. The location is great for shopping and the clubs and restaurants. Within walking distance or a short bus ride to all. Bus stop is in front of the hotel.
This hotel isn't a five star hotel, but it is right on the beach in the middle of the hotel zone. The buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner were very good with plenty of choices. We received the 20% food discount from Orbitz which amounted to a sizable savings. Considering that the best hotels have the same beachfront, this hotel is a great value.
The staff and food in both restaurants were wonderful and so was the housekeeping staff. The front desk staff was rude, unhelpful and unfriendly at all times!!! We will not go back to the Flamingo Hotel for that reason even though every thing else was fine for our entire stay!!
Very good experience. Interesting activities. Most staff members were very friendly and helpful. Looked very safe. Very clean. Very nice pool. The beach access is very convenient.
Flamingo Resort is good for its location, everything is close to things you want to see and do, the service is great, always clean and the grocery is across the street for your necessities. The only drawback is the food, super expensive especially its b-fast buffet which does not change its menu, and, or very limited choices. I had a room which faced the highway and I had to put up with a very noisy traffic all night. I suggest sound proofing those sliding doors. Otherwise, if you plan to stay at the "resort" and don't mind eating and drinking same stuff for the week, pay for the all inclusive plan. I opted not to and I'm glad I didn't.
Very good value for the money. Note that if you purchase the hotel only option versus the all inclusive package there is a noticeable difference in treatment. I realized that when I arrived at 11am and was told that check-in time was 3pm. Others came behind me and were offered rooms. They were wearing yellow wrist bands versus my black wrist band, and when I asked what the meaning was, that was what I learnt this differentiation and noticed the yellows getting rooms right away. I finally protested at 2pm and was given a room when I asked for a Manager. Service was average, and noticeably cooler from the reception desk after that. The housekeeping and ancillary staff were fantastic! The beach location was perfect and the pricing was great. Food at the restuarant was average, and the rooms were nothing to get excited about. I was given a lagoon view room and told that if I wanted the beach view I had to pay $25 more per night or buy the meal package. I declined both!
Nice place, friendly staff, good location, not too much to do a night, beach is different, large drop off to get to the water.
Friendly staff, great location and excellent price if booked in advance.
The stay at Fiamingo was great except for the time share reps in the lobby. They were like flys in a fine resturaunt. They called my room early the first day then they were very persistant every time we passed on the way in or out.
Average food, able to upgrade to ocean front, able to check in early in the day well before the usual 3:00 PM
