The hotel itself was very clean and the staff was helpful - and the morning breakfast buffet was very plentiful and the hours for it were perfect. The rooms and shared bath facilities are very, very small - but once again, very clean facilities. If you are desiring to stay close to city central it is definitely not the hotel for you. If you want to feel like you are truly staying in one of the local neighborhoods where you can get a feel for things locally then this hotel is ideal. It was a short walk to the tram line and a short distance from the Heineken Brewery. We were actually glad to be able to go home at night and stay in a quiet area away from the noisy city crowds which we also participated in.

hotel was brilliant, staff were lovely. 2 minute walking distance from supermarket, trams, coffee shop, cannals and restraunts, but its located in a quiet residential area, so plenty peace and quiet at night. tv with about 50 channels, 20 of those in english. plenty to eat for breakfast eg cold meats, rolls, cerials and fruits. would recommend gettin a taxi from central station if its your first time in amsterdam. but its easy to find your way after youve dumped your bags. already planning another trip back and will deffinatly be staying in the flipper hotel.
It's good value for money in a quiet residential part of town, yet accessible by tram to the city centre. Staff very friendly and helpful. I'd certainly consider staying again in the hotel whenever I travel to Amsterdam. Highly recommended.
On arrival I was greeted with very friendly service, the rooms where clean, and I was close enough to walk into town or hop on the trams. They also offer breakfast every morning. It was nice to be outside of the hustle of tourists. I would stay here again.
Good coffe. Wery friendly and service minded staff.
Cheap, clean and friendly.
