We only stayed for one night, as per our schedule. The room was clean and comfortable, with plenty of towels. The bathroom/wet room shower was different, but worked OK, if a bit tight on space. As the hotel is on a main road, I thought it would be very noisy, but the soundproofing was good. I had to kneel on the table to set the alarm clock, as it was on a high shelf next to the TV. The light was quite dim, which made it dfficult to read. The continental breakfast was reasonable, and the breakfast room was actually open and ready 10 minutes before the advertised time. The staff were very polite and helpful. If you stay at this hotel, don't walk around the area at night, as we were told by local shopkeepers that it's quite dangerous. Having said that, we would stay there again, as it was a reasonably priced hotel compared with others in Sydney.
Very basic but it's what you expect for the price. Pretty clean; just a little hot

Ideal for stay with group or extended family.
Should have provided Wi-Fi in the room with free of charge as of many other hotels these days.
Hotel staff was very helpful. Hotel provided lockers for luggage at a fee which allowed us to leave late on the last day. If you are willing to walk a little, the hotel is close enough to Sydney's main attractions.
Overall good but you should offer discounts to family staying on weekends
F1 should consider double glazed windows for all north facing rooms! The Cross does not sleep - and in turn, nor could I. Room 501 had NO hot water!
We were initially given a room, that wasn't double glazed and faced a road that was busier than the M25 in London. There was as much noise as in the Fast and Furious movies, and after 2 nights without sleep we had to ask to be moved. The people were very accomodating and moved us to a room at the back of the hotel, which was much better.
NO tea / coffee making facilities available No floor mat in the bathroom
First room I went into had 4 cigarette holes in the bedspread, no hot water from the bathroom tap and the light was so dim I could hardly read a book. Reception kindly allowed me into another room which was better, though water not hot enough to shave with so shaved in the shower in a foggy mirror. Very basic facilities but it wasn't as though some were advertised that were not there.
A bar for hanging clothes would be appreciated
Motel Formule 1 is a basic budget hotel but clean and with good facilities for this class of hotel. The staff were very friendly and always helpful. One downside is that the rooms are not very soundproof but as long as guests are considerate of others it is bearable. Good value for money during my stay.
Extremely difficult to get a taxi, since the location is particularly difficult to reach by car.
a great price for 4 people and an easy walk to the city, recommend for a cheap place to crash.
Would have been better and more convenient if there was a small fridge in the room
The room was a bit small and not well ventilated. You should always put the aircondition on. But it is a nice hotel to stay and it is situated in a place where you have access to all facilties (food outlets, convenience stores, restaurants, pharmacy, etc).
Cheap and cheerful hotel in a good location for sightseeing (Approx 15 mins to Opera House, Harbour Bridge and Skytower)
We found it a little bit expensive , as opposed to other countries , in France , it's cheap , in South Africa too ( approximately 35, 45 euros, you rate 67 minimum !) I wish Iknew what makes Formule 1 different from other hotels in Sydney , or other hotels in the world ! Bye , thanks for asking... Anne ,from Mayotte.
Very dark room with very few lightning at night. Nearly depressing !
A generic low priced motel. Adequate and clean. I will use it again
