Forrest Hotel & Apartments Canberra

Good place to stay for business trips, close to shops, and bountiful buffet breakfast. However no pool, or gym in the premises.

Awesome room~ very clean and the comments about the noises were not true. Maybe it depends on your luck whether someone upstairs decides to move a chair or check out at 5 in the morning. The staffs were kind and very helpful. It is a hotel that I would go back to if I were to visit Canberra again.

there is a shared door between rooms and if your neighbor are noisy then... Anyhow it was good for us to stay for a night. the staffs were very polite ,well behave and friendly.

Great location, however there is some spider net on the window. Very good place at the price!

The floors are half carpet and half tile so you can imagine the noise from the room above from shoes, moving chairs, etc. In this case, that guest decided to leave at 5:30am! Otherwise tidy room but minimal facillities and dated. Vastly overpriced.

The room was so small & cramped there was hardly space to move; used soap bar left in the shower recess. I wouldn't stay at this hotel for any reason except for convenience of location to Manuka Oval. Not worth the price charged.

There is little sound insulation between rooms. Plumbing noise, person noise between rooms & externally are significant & disturbing

This was my second visit to Forrest Hotel which is really motel syle accommodation. Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Facilities were basic but OK for the tariff. Bathroom was very squeezy like most motel rooms. I liked the walking distance proximity to Manuka for dining. Parking was not ideal since we needed to park quite a distance from our room. I would stay there again if needing budget overnight accommodation.

Motel rather than hotel. Rooms really small for Motel, no space to walk or put things, instead fully equipped kitchen and facilities, which is not much use as there is no space to comfortably use them. Very primitive metal frame beds on wheels that move in twin bedded room, spoiled the whole impression totally.

I found the service brilliant - they were very friendly and very helpful. They were willing to answer any question and helped us in every way they could. If I returned to Canberra I would definitely stay here again. the hotel was not 'flash' however the rooms were clean and well equiped.

a good clean hotel near the national gallery and parliment houses both old and new. Breakfast was very good!

Restaurant close at 8.30pm! Very quiet place!

Good basic functional accommodation. Appearances match the price. The exterior was boring but the people were friendly and the room and bed were, importantly, comfortable.

Whilst the room and bathroom were both quite small, they were neat, practical and clean (it suited us perfectly)! The location is peaceful and located within walking distance to some great restaurants and cafes. I would recommend these rooms if you're after fuss-free, clean and practical accomodation (and I would definitely stay here again)!

Dated and overpriced......just an old-fashioned motel that is trading on its location.

I would suggest that the room should have been better equipped with more eating utensils : only 2 knives; there were no forks; I had to ask for a can opener. The TV was not working on my arrival; it was seen to later, but only a limited numbr of channels became available. That might be location. Otherwise, I would stay there again just to be close to the start of the Canberra Marathon which I run each year!
