Fortuneland International Hotel Beijing

"The breakfast area was pleasant with good decor and natural light with a full choice of food options of good quality. The modern art decor and color scheme of hotel although refreshingly different, would not appeal to some persons. " - Anonymous

"Do not be fooled by the pictures of this hotel,it was a real let down for a four star. The general appearance of the room and public areas was both run down and fairly dirty. It is not walking distance to Forbidden City etc although taxi is very cheap. Chinese restaurant at the hotel has no English menu, breakfast was fairly poor standard. Bathroom was a wet room which is fine,except the whole floor of the bathroom would become soaking, which is not what you want when the cleanliness is questionable!" - Anonymous

"Overall it was a very pleasant stay in a unique hotel. The room was large and spacious and the staff were very helpful with no communication problems. There were plenty of amenities within a few minutes' walk and the underground station was within easy walking distance. The hotel also offers affordable food although there are many good restaurants just around the corner as well. The only complaints would be that the internet was somewhat slow (as it seems to be everywhere in China) and the swimming pool was unfortunately closed for maintenance during our stay. "This was not meant to be a hotel but converted to one so all the related problems are there. Language is a big issue which is not the case in many hotels in Beijing. The linen in the rooms is not changed daily. We were there for three nights and same bed linen ! Photos on website look fancy but the hotel is far from it. The curtains in the room are not blackout type so you get enough light early in the morning to wake you up. " - Anonymous
