Appartment was facing the street and was a bit noisy due to hotel across the street. Facilities were good an could walk to Mile or catch bus at end of street.
We booked and paid for the above apartment, but we were upgraded on arrival to the 5star up the road from Grove St.Very nice big apartment, very quiet on a night. Beds are the best, but the shower not as powerful or water as hot as it should be.I would definatly return.
I have booked for the Single bedroom apartment but we have been upgraded to 2 Bed without any charge. The apartment was really wonderful & we really had a very good stay. The apartments are quite close to haymarket station. I would recommend this hotel & would like to stay again there. Please keep a note that the check-in time is after 2 pm, so make arrangements accordingly. Also the reception is a short stroll from the apartments. The good thing was you can check out early is need be & can drop the keys in the drop box. Really a home away from home..:)
A lovely spacious place. It was nice and clean with hifi, tv, wifi facilities. Just like a complete equipped apartment. The Fountain Court Apartments are located about 15 minutes walk from the Castle. So they are not too far from the city centre. Regarding the service we did not have the best reception. We arrived at about 10pm in the night. It took us a while until we eventually found someone to give us the keys (reception was closed and we had to wait about 15 minutes until someone showed up)...When then got the keys and it took us a while until we actually found the apartment. It is not exactly clear were the apartments are located as we were given the wrong directions. The parking is spacious and safe BUt it comes with a price of 8UKP per day on top of the price you pay. So... its not free. The price for renting the apartment is bit high. It would possibly compare with 4* hotels in the city centre but if you want to keep your car somewhere safe then it is highly recommended.
These are serviced apartments NOT hotels so bear that in mind i.e. no gym, restaurant facilities etc that one may associate with hotels. Due to them being serviced apts they do come with dishwasher, cooking facilities, cutlery and crockery etc and have a reception plus daily housekeeping. I have used them multiple times for work and they are located less than 10 mins walk from Haymarket station. Some apartments are dated and require redecoration. if you can get them the best ones are in the Harris block - much cleaner and more modern.
Clean, well located, good service.
the service team were excellent with their standard of cleanliness and the reception team and maintenance were very helpful excellent secure parking and within walking distance of princess street, nice and quiet at night. thanks for a great holiday
On arrival we were actually upgraded to the new Grove Executive Apartments. We were given a brand new studio apartment which was excellent. The finish was of a very high standard and the apartment was very stylish and comfortable. The car par is secure and easy to get in and out of. The staff at Fountain Court were extremely helpful, particularly as my husband has a disability. This is definitely my no 1 choice to stay in Edinburgh. We didn't walk to Princes Street and the main sights, but having stayed near Grove Street previously, I know that this is just a 10-15 minute walk, and less in a taxi.
Our stay at the Fountain Court Apartments was excellent. A 20 minute walk to the centre of Edinburgh. Car Parking available behind the apartments in a very secure area. The apartment we stayed in was brand new and extremely comfortable in every way. Staff very helpful, particularly on arrival.
Very nice apartment hotel. Brand new and delicate apartment with all necessary equipment. Docking for iPod with speakers in every room. DVD player in living room. Ideal for families! Some of the rooms are close to a trafficated road, be aware of some noise in living room/kitchen. Will definitely book the same hotel next time in Edinburgh!
Myself and my boyfriend stayed here recently, and overall we were very happy with the experience. The standard of the apartments was great for the price we paid. It is about a fifteen minute walk to the city centre, but there is a bus stop right around the corner. We arrived early, but could not check in until about midday. Check out was at 10am, which was a little early
The Fountain Court met and exceeded all our expectancies. Cheaper than ordinary hotels I've stayed at in the UK and yet much nicer, cleaner, and more friendly. Highly recommended.
Comfortable apartment, warm and clean. Complimentary milk, bread and cereals on first day was a nice and useful touch. Good beds.
Good apartment, clean, quiet and close to downtown. People at reception are very courteous and willing to help. Small issue with the heater was resolved in a timely manner. It is ideal for families. Only drawback is: the apartment has 2 bedrooms but only one bathroom. Next time in Edinburgh will definitely stay there.
very helpful, our water heater broke down and they upgraded us to a 2 bedroom apartment, and moved all our things for us....extremely helpful and friendly. Great location, not oo far from town to walk.
The hotel is very conveniently located for the convention centre and exploring the centre of Edinburgh. We left eye glasses behind and through the internet and by phone they were located and mailed to us. Highly recommend!
Appatments had all the faciities. Close to the castle. Very comfotable.
It was nice to have a separate sitting room. The walk to Princes Street took about 10 minutes and there was a nice little bar called Ossian's right across the street!
Good place to stay, had everything we needed. A bit noisy at night but overall excellent location, close to bus stop, shops and other services. Generally everything in the city is within a short walking distant anyway. Staff at front desk made it seem too much like a business and didnt really acknowledge us unless we directly spoke to them, so not really a friendly atmosphere. Would however, stay there again as the apartment was really nice.
Had a fantastic weekend away staying at Foutain Court Grove St, I would highly recommend staying there the apartment was modest and clean. The staff freindly and helpful, I will be staying there again.
