Fox Glacier Lodge

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. If we ever find ourselves in Fox Glacier township again, this is where we will stay!

Fox Glacier Lodge has a warm friendly feel to it. Julie welcomed us with freshly made muffins, a lovely touch. The spa in our apartment was a godsend after a challenging walk on the glacier. The lodge is very close to all village facilities and a great restaurant.

The lodge is well-situated in the town, within walking distance of the tour companies and restaurants. Our hosts provided a good variety of food for the make-your-own breakfast and gave us great advice on where to go and what to see. The room was small but cozy, warm and very comfortable.

Good clean alpine lodge type accommodation. Shared kitchen with buffet breakfast. Warm cosy atmosphere. Style of the building means you do hear other guests moving around.

Very good self catering appartments. Well worth staying here for access to Fox Glacier. Meals at the nearby lake cafe/resteraunt very good. Local cafes poor.

We had a lovely stay at Fox Glacier Lodge. The only thing missing was fine weather! Our room was large, lovely and comfortable, with everything we needed plus a few extra touches. The staff were more than helpful, especially Rebecca. The warm fire and muffins lifted our spirits after a very long wet day. I would certainly recommend this accommodation!

We upgraded to a self-contained apartment upon arrival at our choice. Staff were extremly helpful, location central. Double spa was lovely & the fire place kept us nice and toasty at night.

Very lovely place, fairly new and in excellent condition. Wonderful staff helped arrange bookings and gave us weather status for coming day. Helped arrange tours, and was friendly and upbeat on a very rainy day when we arrived. Highly recommended!

Having the spa bath was lovely

This was our favourite hotel when we toured New Zealand this month. Perfectly located on the main street of Fox with a short walk (less than a minute) to the glacier tour meeting points and the cafes and restaurants. The hotel room was lovely and breakfast was 'help yourself' with fresh fruit, cereals, bread and even eggs to boil if you wanted to. Very reasonably priced and the lady who greeted us was friendly and helpful.

During our two week vacation in New Zealand we enjoyed great hospitality throughout the South Island, but Fox Glacier Lodge was the best B&B. Clean, quiet and a great selection of healthy food for breakfast, starting with fresh baked bread. This was the only place that offered fresh kiwi fruit!

beautiful setting and the two storey loft room was very comfy and luxurious, kitchen was great to cook instead of going out. Owners very friendly and helpful

Construction site taking place in front Aug 07. The Lodge also has a campervan parking lot which is all around you and their abolution block is also right out the front so our curtains were closed during entire stay. Although new the double spa bath didn't have much grunt. Position is right in town but no scenic view.
