Foxfields Country Hotel and Suites Blackburn

"Lovely hotel could hav done with a few more bits in room as a 4* hotel, like shower cream & the usual things one would expect. Also limited sugar or milk for tea. My only gripe was that on checking in I had no real explanation about the health club or key code or anything & it took 3 trips between front desk & spa to get in & go back get a towel & at that stage I said do I need anything else? Nothing was answered, but I had no locker key!! Just a basic hello the bar is over there etc etc would have been nice, but well worth a stay at head bar man really sweet, food lovely if not rather small a la carte portions! "Reception and check out was excellent. However, the general impression was the presentation was looking a bit 'tired'. Whilst the room and general areas were spotlessly clean, the decor and fitted bedroom furniture looked dated. The bathroom was spacious, but the loo seat was loose, black mold to shower ceiling, and grouting needed attention. Window cill, and window surrounds also needed some maintenance. A good sleep, with no traffic noise, and breakfast was excellent." - Roger Gill
