Fragrance Hotel Crystal Singapore

Good budget choice, but should be aware it is in red light district. Taxi drivers advise not a safe area for women to walk around alone at night, but O.K. during the daytime.

Hotel is good for the price and ease of transport. 15 minute walk to Aljunied MRT Station. Can take MRT to/from Airport with suitcases, only $2.60 Singapore dollars for mRT to City Hall or Orchard stops. Good local eateries within 5 minutes walk. Clean and respectful staff.

First impression the hotel staff were not customer friendly. As if they were trained to earn as much from customers. Location is surrounded by red light district activities. Food availability is not good especially for muslim. Not a good representation of Singapore standard.

What you would expect for the budget price, so no complaints, but dont expect luxury! Not a salubrious area - OK if you want a brothel across the road.

Room is clean but smell of cirgarette is very strong. The blanket is have some hair on it so it let you doubt that they are clean.

Will return to stay in this hotel again. Very good experience with the stay in this hotel. =)

I am really my choice and enjoyed staying at Fragrance Hotel. Very helpful staff and responsive personal . Clean room , convenice size of bathroom , fine complimentary beverage , very good management and all to all I am very satisfy with the quality and price , The hotel room's price is very low with reasonable quality. You get more than you pay actually !!! :)

Surely we will come back to stay in this hotel again should we visit the country.

Very basic, but very well priced. Hot water is only natural water temperature, but that's Ok in Singapore. OK for a stopover, but certainly not anything but basic. If you go there, use a taxi from the airport - the shuttle costs more and takes you round about.

This is a budget hotel, but quite adequate for an overnight stay. Bedding and towels were clean and not stained, equipment OK and no bugs. The a/cond was modern and effective. The only downsides which are fairly common in Singapore is the fastidious attention to detail as regards passport names, addresses, c/card etc., on the basis the police check up on those. And of course, it's in the Red Light district - both DAY and NIGHT - but they don't hang around/in the lobby as I found last time at the [other hotel].

Old and tired, this hotel served its purpose very well - a clean room cheap (and in a very interesting part of town).

Hotel need to consider opening a small cafetaria because no nearby cafe available which some of the customers could use

Room rate is very reasonable for the quality of space and its near enough to places of interest that you don't notice its off the more popular tracks. Staff are amazing & greet you by name! It just made me feel they were there for my every need. Highly recommended.

Nice hotel 10 minutes away from the MRT system. Plenty of good (local) restaurants. The only disadvantage is the fact that it is located in an area with a great number of prostitutes, that said never felt 'unsafe'.

there are not very many non smoking rooms and whilst the staff tried hard to clean out the smoke it was enough to make your eyes water. otherwise it was good value for money

As many others said: In the red light district, which is not a problem. A short walk to the MRT and you are anywhere fast and easy. The only thing that was not good was the 3pm check-in. If your flight arrives at 6am, you'll have a lot of time to kill. Next time I'd book the night before in order to have the room ready on arrival. Other than that: Basic, but good value for $$

Staff were good, friendly and accomodating. Rooms are not sound proof. One can actually hear the conversations outside the room.Cleanliness was good but i suggest that hotel guests bring air freshener with them when checking-in in any chain of fragrance hotel in Singapore. Not accessible to the nearest MRT station. One has to take a taxi when going to and from the hotel from the MRT.

Very clean and good and most importantly it is cheap. However located in red light district.

I liked the hotel and would like to stay again in case a situation arises. Red light activities in Geylang have not caused any inconvenience to me.

a very basic hotel but somewhere to rest your head without spending too much. we have stayed there several times and will stay again
