We were able to stay here with accumulated Member Dollars, which was fantastic. The little hotel is superbly located on Rue de Rivoli in the heart of Marais. Metro is very close by, and you can walk pretty much everywhere. Staff were very nice, smiley and friendly, they let us check in early. The room was small but clean and comfortable, good temperature and window that opens. Our shower was a bit insane and made the bathroom very wet, but that's only a minor complaint. There is a lovely breakfast room in the cellar of the hotel, but we didn't actually eat there. All things considered, a great little base for Paris
The best thing about this hotel is the location.
The lack of plugs for the sink, the minimal quantity of hot drink ingredients and having to unplug the kettle to put the light on, did not not make our stay too enjoyable. The cost of the very poor breakfast is excessive and it should be avoided.
In a great location with pretty spacious room and comfortable bed. The hotel was a great place to come back to after a hard day sightseeing. The hotel did not have a laundry but there is one very close. Helpful staff and great breakfast
Initially we were allocated room number 25, the worst room I have ever encountered. Cracked window panes looked over the noisy main road, grimy soft furnishings and a leaking toilet combined to produce the most dispiriting environment imaginable. After I complained we were given the key to number 38, a clean and bright room at the rear of the building. Renovations were obviously in progress. The staff were actually pleasant and helpful, but it is hard to eradicate that first impression.
The hotel was fine. The room was small and the bathroom was pretty funny. The shower was very very small, to the point of being absurd. But the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good (croissants, other pastries, cold meats, sausages and eggs). The location is amazing. Just a short walk to many of the great sites. And for being on a major street, we found the hotel to be pretty quiet.
Lovely small, simple and central hotel, helpful staff, wonderful service that met all our expectations and more. We were there twice already and we'll be back again.
Very basic hotel with small rooms, however the location is fantastic!! If your after a clean place to sleep with no frills, central location with wonderful attractions and transport strolling distance - then this is it!! We walked to the Louvre, Place DesVosges and after leaving Notra Dame cut through a side street over a bridge and was thrilled to spot our hotel just across the road!!! Perfect location with a choice of 10 restaurants only 4 doors down!!
single rooms - too small!!! wc/bath you can't turn around !!!!
The hotel was good for the price. The only thing we found very curious is that when asked to cancel the shuttle service we had reserved to the hotel we were told we couldn't cancel without 24 hour notice period and asked us for 12 euros upfront. I am wondering if the hotel gets a kick back for useing this service. If so, individuals need to be warned about this prior to staying.
Room was tiny and looked out on a yard.
Presently surprised by standard of room and breakfasts of this star rating in Paris. Fantastic location. You have to leave your room key at reception when you go out, which is fine, except that you can't be certain that staff won't give your room key to another person asking for it as staff of different shifts don't know who is who. Also security box is movable + there is a deposit and daily cost (3 + 38 euros respectively).
Excellent location moments from the Town Hall ("Hotel de Ville" and metro of same name), beautiful breakfast in a charming underground cavern, the rooms are a little tired so you may find it "quaint", but they're clean & comfortable, double glazed (important in Paris !), well ventilated & had a room safe. Easy walk to the Marais, Pompidou, Notre Dame, Opera & Louvre and adjacent metro makes the rest of Paris easily accessible.
The hotel was rather dingy and careworn and the room very small and oddly shaped with an internal window to a filthy light well. But the location was excellent, the staff friendly and efficient and the bathroom well appointed, if minute. The subterranean breakfast room was a pleasant venue for a good quality buffet breakfast offering plenty of dietary choice.
Lift wasnt working at the time - but otherwise fantastic. a great place to base a first trip to paris. right nearmetro, maris, louvre and bastille!!!
A good location close to Hotel De Ville. The rooms are small like most in Paris. A good selection is provided for breakfast.
Great location... near hotel de ville, notre dame, shopping, metro... room is kind of small, but good enough. Definitely recommend!
On first impressions one could be out off as the foyer is tiny, but there is a lift and a decent breakfast. The room is small and although the inroom safe had the door broken off, it was adequate, with bathroom amenities provided too. The location is fantastic, on rue de Rivoli, with access to restaurants, cafes, shops, Hotel de Ville, Pompidou Centre, Le Louvre, metro etc etc. You will not be disappointed with the location.
Small! No pictures to see what it looks like and how small it actually is
Great location - very central and lively area - Small but comfortable rooms - great service. Very happy and would definitely stay again!
