Friends Hotel Duesseldorf

You know, a small lobby on first floor, and that insecure feeling when you arrive. But surprise! Spacy rooms, newly redecorated (exept the bathrooms which were ok, anyway) clean, friendly service and a very good breakfast in nice environments - for 10 Euros extra, but it was worth it. All in all, a very good deal!

This is a wonderful hotel. We stayed 4 nights and could have stayed longer. It’s friendly and informal but very professional. Reception staff were first class in customer service. Nothing was too much trouble and lots of little things that might be too much hassle for a large hotel were done with pleasure and services that larger hotels might charge for were free of charge. Breakfast was very tasty and I would have liked the option to have lunch or maybe snack foods available but the location means they are right next door to a supermarket and have lots of restaurants nearby. They are very well located there is a tram and bus stop right outside the hotel and a major tram terminal 4 minutes walk as is the main train/ tube station in Dusseldorf. There is a pharmacy, newsagents and cinema within a 2 minute walk but this doesn’t mean that the area is noisy, the hotel and the surrounding areas is actually quite quiet. We will definitely be going again.

Friends is really a friendly hotel with very helpfull staf and lovely new rooms, and all that for a good price! Only when you are looking for a romantic getaway i would not recommend it, escpecially because of the location and the eager but not totally professional looking decoration (a bit empty, a bit to much ikea, although this probably makes a lott of people feel at home immediatly....). But with a friend you will have a great shopping/ art/ chic clubbing weekend!

had a fanatastic stay at hotel - room very clean, comfortable & huge!! if you are looking for a central base to explore/party this is ideal - would def stay again extra special thanks to the guy who checked us in & purposely gave me the biggest room - loved it!!!

Surprisingly quiet for City Centre main road!

Quite basic room however clean, comfy bed and great shower. Bit noisy for friends that were near the tram line in the morning but otherwise very good. Breakfast great and staff friendly.

Keep an eye out for local strife. Convenient to the Eurolines terminus.

It is a Hotel without any ventilation, that is really bad. Condensation and dampness is neither healthy or nice in the mornings.

Nice, stylishly decorated hotel. Quite close to the main railway station.
