Furama Silom Bangkok Hotel

Currently undergoing renovation (July 2010) and new rooms certainly have a fresh new feel to them, though I liked the previously refurbished rooms. Good selection at breakfast, including on demand cooked eggs, though some dishes in the buffet not kept warmed. Still a good hotel for the location (close but not in the busiest centre of the Silom area).

They are renovating. The jack hammers start at 10.00am and go on until 6.00pm. The room airconditioners are noisy. I have given up complaining re the airconditioners..they have no intension to fix them as I expect as each room is renovated a new quieter AC will be installed. I stay there because of the price, location and general feel of the place. Oh note...the trip to the airport with the hotel car is now 800 Baht.

Nice hotel to stay in Silom area of Bangkok, excellent breakfast.

This hotel is a bit old but comes with a lounge area and pantry in the rooms. There are no non-smoking rooms but they'll help spray anti-odor upon request. Breakfast spread is fair. Fitness center is located on 19F but opens only at 11 am - a healthy mix of machines, free weights and dumbbells. Pool is on the roof (20F); no blockage from surrounding bldgs means anytime is great for tanning. Location is excellent if you intend to go to Silom Rd (Saladaeng BTS) - 15-20 mins walk. Walking distance to Chong Nonsi BTS, <10 mins. A stone's throw from Healthland massage spa (Sathorn outlet); do take the side lane for a shortcut. Take advantage of Last Minute Deals as the age of the hotel is not worth paying full price. Overall, a worthwhile place to stay for a good price and location.

Im was really impressed with the staff, they were very friendly. The Hotel was in a great location waqlking distance to everything i needed. the only thing that i could say was wrong was the Aircond unit out side the window was a little loud but thats all I would recomend this hotel to other and will stay here again

Requested a non-smoking room, they only removed the ashtrays and called it non-smoking. The room had a very bad smell although recently renovaterd.

Excellent accommodation. Skyview restaurant (top of hotel) is expensive. Location excellent for our needs.

a good room with lots of space

Shortage of staff on our first day meant our room was not cleaned. They did apologise and explain. On two occasions our key cards would not admit us to our room. These were minor irritations in a basically pleasant hotel with large comfortable rooms and courteous staff. The buffet breakfasts provided us with a wide range of choices - a good start to the day . Yes, we'd stay there again.

A very enjoyable stay - some of the best service from a front desk team I've had in a while. Room was huge - and a considerable improvement on my stay there about 6 years ago - carpet still pretty scruffy though. The hotel is what it is - a mid range hotel catering to the holiday market in a location suited to every taste. Broadband internet on the 7th floor was free and fast. I would definately stay there again. For the price, it is a brilliant option - about 50% less than other similar hotels in the area that I use.

I have stayed here many times. In a great location and is fantastic value for money. It is an older hotel- but is still clean and cheap. The rooftop bar is well worth visiting!

A really good hotel for a good price by booking with [your website]. The staff are very friendly and helpful. A really great experience: An early check-in at arround 8:30 AM in the morning has been offered from the hotel staff. What a wonderful news after an 11 hours flight from Europe. Room service and room cleaning, everything was really good. The staff catched a taxi for me from the street early in the morning at 6:00 AM. Very friendly and helpful! Only the pool on the top and the towel service on the pool is a little bit poor. We had a very relaxing time in this hotel in Silom Road and will come back again.

Was upgraded to a top room which was extra nice. Only slight drawback is no WiFi in room and "expensive" in their bar/business centre.

This hotel is in an excellent location, close to night market, Patong, restaurants and internet cafes. I was upgraded to a junior sweet and it was huge for the same price as a standard room. There is good italian food close by at Silom centre just a few blocks away. The service was friendly and efficient. The king size bed was comfortable and the air conditioners in both the living room and bedroom worked fine - a bit noisy though. I would highly recommend this hotel to visitors.
