Galeno Hotel Rome Guest Reviews

3.2 out of 5

Hotel location was okay, 10 minute walk to Termini or 5 minute walk to metro station. Service was bad. Hotel has no laundry, they don't know where a laundry is and didn't want to find out for us (laundries are near termini). No aircon, had to ask for a fan. Hallways are cluttered up with old furniture. Room was tiny and bathroom was the smallest bathroom I have ever had. You have to leave your key with reception every time you go out which i didn't like. Breakfast was good.

the room and especilly the bathroom were very small, it looked like the hotel was not renovated for a few years, but it was clean; the staff was excellent and only for this reason and for the good location i would come back again

the room was so small there was no place to put our bags. the bath room was tiny, the shower rose not working properly, door did not close so water spilled everywhere and was very smelly due to damp, which pervaded the whole room. staff were friendly and helpful and bed was comfortable.

A very good choise if you want to stay cheap in Rome. A quiet embassy area. Open 24 hours a day and they speak english. Smiling and kind staff. No recommendation on the breakfast.

This hotel was perfect for us because it was a stop over before catching a train to Bari. If i had been staying in Rome longer the small room might have become a wee bit claustraphobic. However it is well situated and pleasant and the staff were bright and helpful. There is a crackin restaurant right around the corner!

Great choice for budget traveller. Next time i will stil go there. The lady in the reception desk is veryyy friendly. The location is ok in the quiet area, and near many bus stops. Breakfast is not fancy but sufficient. Room is very small, but acceptable. I would like to recommend this hotel.

My wife and I have visited Rome in May, 2005 and stayed in Goleno hotel. The most attractive thing about it is that the hotel is very close to the Historical Center of Rome. It took 15-20 minutes for us to walk to the Ancient center. The other good thing is pizza in the nearby (cross the street) restaraunt. It is excellent. The shower is very small, not for those who suffer Claustrophobia. But if your main objective while being in Rome is to walk around the whole day and having fun outside the room and if you're about 18-50 y.o. you'll probably like the place. Rate was 100 Euro for double-bed.

A quite crammed situation in a miniscule room was favourably countered by the helpfulness and pleasant manners of the personnel - and by the possibility to park a car safely in the hotel yard.

The Location was excellent! Very close to the city center. Good place for somebody with tight budget who want's to enjoy Rome, not the hotel.
