Getting there:- Pudong International Airport is a 45-minute drive away and the Hongqiao Airport, a mere 20 minute car trip. - Metro subway station is a 3-minute walk by foot. - From Shanghai South Railway Station: Taxi takes 15 minutes, at a cost of 25 each way. - From Shanghai Railway StationF Taxi takes approximately 30 minutes, at a cost of 40 each way.

This hotel was recommended to me by friends in Beijing and I can gladly recommend it to you. My room was large with a very comfortable king bed and nice seating area with desk and sofas and a great bathroom that was, at least for my room, open to the rest of the room - so not ideal in all situations. Everthing was in fine condition overall. The walls had some marks. A new paint job would make the rooms look gorgeous. If you are looking for a standard, highend chain hotel, this is not your place. If you want have a romantic weekend, or stay at a place you will be excited to tell your friends about, this is it. The area around the hotel is park like with lots of trees and vegetation and the metro is a few blocks away. It is on a somewhat busy street so expect some street noise. I will return to this hotel on my next trip to Shanghai.
Not feel so good as I expected,the big good is the room is a old style,big,the bed is comfortable,but the price is so high for this.
The hotel entrance was a little obscure and non-impressive. BUT we had a wonderful surprise when we walked in. The decor is beautiful and it is a very charming hotel.
Great location in the old French Concession area - handy for the metro and good restaurants within walking distance. Rooms are spacious and comfortable (huge bed!) although not fully equipped (no drawers, iron/board, coffee). Service was friendly and helpful when asked but they could provide more information up front or at least in the room folder (breakfast times, checkout time, local amenities etc)
