"A clean hotel, however not in a nice area of Milan. Close to the train terminal, but felt quite uneasy walking to the hotel (only a 15 min walk). Staff were quite helpful, however didn't offer any alternative when the guest internet facility was not working. Unfortunately had an early train so can't comment on breakfast - we were given "breakfast in a box" which wasn't good." - Anonymous
"The hotel was easy to find and right off the main street (Buenos Aires) so near all the shops and attractions. The tube station was right outside the hotel so it was in an ideal location. Highly recommended and excellent service. We were allowed to leave our bags in a secure room on the day of departure and didn't have to check out until 1pm. Will definately stay here again. Hotel Galles is situated right next to Corso Buenos Aires, one of the main streets of Milan, close to the underground station Lima (red line MM1).
Its convenient position allows guests to reach Piazza Duomo, Alla Scala theatre, via Montenapoleone, the exhibition centre and much more, very quickly.
The hotel is housed in an ancient building, dating back to 1882 and completely rennovated in 2003, maintaining its historic appeal. It is a lucky combination of elegance and charm, decorated with antique furniture and modern technology.
Two bars, one inside and one in the reading lounge on the first floor terrace, a sun terrace and a high quality restaurant on the sixth floor, satisfy even the most demanding guests. |

By car
From the highway, take the tangenziale Est and exit at Lambrate. Follow the indications to Milano centro. Continue straight until piazzale Loreto (around 2.9 km). Turn into corso Buenos Aires. Piazza Lima and the hotel are exactly halfway down the road, thus 500 metres from piazzale Loreto.
By train
The Milano centrale railway station is around 500 metres from the hotel. Walk about 300 metres down via Vitruvio. At corso Buenos Aires, turn left. It is also possible to take bus number 60 or tram number 30 to the 3rd stop (Vitruvio-Lima), or the underground, line 2 to the Loreto stop and change to line 1 to the Lima stop.
