Like an old firend. Centrally located, reasonably priced, helpful staff.
first room was very tiny, but after asking we were upgraded to a superior room
Gambrinus is a 3(max) stars hotel. Basic information about its category should be changed a.s.a.p
nice hotel but the single rooms are quite small. the breakfast room is also quite small and badly laid out
Rather cramped feeling, from the tiny lobby to the L-shaped room. But all the faclities were there- just much closer together than I might have expected.
I would highly recomend Hotel Gambrinus in Rome.!! It was my sons and my first visit to Rome Italy and I would go there again! The location of the hotel was in an excellent position, it was very close to all attractions as Rome is a place to explore by foot. It was close to all transport, close to main shopping streets restaurants, coffee places and of course 5 min away by foot to the famous Via Veneto. I was very impressed by the friendly greeting and helpful staff and by the lovley clean and confortable airconditioned room we had. Breakfast was excellent, every thing was freshly cooked and well presented.
Great hotel, with very friendly and accomodating staff. We definitely would stay at the Gambrinus Hotel Rome again. Short easy walk to the Borghese Museum and Via Venito. The hotel staff recommended great restaurants nearby which were reasonably-priced. When we didn't want to walk, we were able to catch a city bus to any Rome location. We used a couple of taxis but mostly relied on the buses since they were easy.
The official price for my 1p-room is € 170 and that's far too expensive. However, the price I paid (€ 70) is very reasonable and gives good value for money!
