"A lovely hotel in a lovely resort. Single/twin bed rooms have a shower but no bath and the balcony is tiny, but on the plus side there is a fridge for guest use, efficient air conditioning, tea/coffee makings and a hairdryer. TV has BBC1 and Sky Sports. Tourists in Armacao are mostly Portuguese themselves and prices in cafés around the resort are very cheap, 65c for coffee and €1.80 for beer. Fish restaurants excellent. Hotel description:    Situated in a prime position in the resort of Amracao de Pera, the Hotel Garbe offers a welcoming atmosphere and traditional cuisine combined with quality and comfort.

The Hotel has superb views of the sea and surrounding area, and has direct access to one of the most popular sandy beaches of the Algarve, from where the fishermen still sell their catch to the local market.

Totally refurbished in 2003 the 185 guest rooms have satellite television, direct dial telephone, hairdryer, air conditioning and heating.

Facilities of the Hotel include two restaurants, two bars, heated swimming-pool and sun terraces.

Regular evening entertainment is provided in our Bar "Boa Vista" which like our restaurants enjoy panoramic views of the ocean and sunset.

Getting there: Directions to the Hotel Garbe
from Faro Airport


The Hotel Garbe is situated in Armação de Pêra.

On leaving the Airport, follow the road for about 2.5kms. This takes you onto the new flyover. Follow the signs for Portimão and you will merge onto a main road
which is the EN125.

After approx. 4 kms you will see a blue sign for the motorway (IP1). Keep left in the direction of Loulé and follow the blue signs up onto the motorway. Follow signs for Portimão until you reach the Armação de Pêra exit.

At the large roundabout, follow the sign to Armação de Pêra. Continue until Alcantarilha,(the first traffic lights) get into the right hand lane and turn right for Armação de Pêra (it is sign posted). At the next small roundabout at the edge of the town, turn left. Follow the one way system (second right turn, then second left turn) you will reach the seafront road, the building in front of you at this moment is the Hotel Garbe, turn left, then right into the main entrance.
