Enjoyed staying here. Very convenient even though it is away from the "old town" its an easy walk and there are good attractions and restaurants nearby. Nice shops too.
Great location for catching the water, light, music show at Big Wild Goose Pagoda grounds and an excellent show it is. Very nice hotel with very comfortable facilities and close to great restaurant area too. Easy to get to the Xian city wall and other attractions. Would definitely stay here again.
Most of the deluxe have the king size bed with room size is 40 square meter, all room can the garden
Some of the rooms with balcony, have a nice view can see the lake, and some of the rooms can see the Bid Wild Goose Pagoda and the gardens, the avarage room size is 27.5 square meter.
We stayed six days at the hotel, with our two young kids, and we found the Xi’an Garden Hotel clean and nicely decorated, with a beautiful garden. It is not located in the city center, but it is near many restaurants and places to eat. A taxi to the center does not cost much, while many attractions are not located in the city anyway. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Some of them don’t have much English, but if needed they will get someone who does. The western breakfast gives you a wide choice, from cereals or toast to ham-and-egg. If you go see the terracotta army, it is best just to arrange transportation there and make use of one of the official guides at the museum, as they speak good English, know what they are talking about, and have the patience to explain details. Our experience with an external guide taking us there was not so good, as he was mostly interested in getting us buy expensive souvenirs from shops that apparently offered him a good commission.
The hotel is a fair distance from the town with a taxi or bus needed. It is however a bit quieter than the hotels in town with access to a garden. There is a park close by and some restaurants in easy walking distance. Chinese style hotel which is now a bit tired looking and the majority of the staff have no English. A bit of effort required to organise tours as no tour desk or details of available tours.
Staff are extremely helpful. Understand and speak English well. Set in a beautiful garden with a lake. Ducks and peacocks in the garden Food and service in the restuarants very good. Only stayed 1 night. Should have stayed longer
It was a pleasure to walk into the hotel and look out towards the traditional gardens and the two peacock guardians. It was restful, relaxing and reassuring. Beds were the softest we had encountered in China. The neighbouring gardens with their musical fountains were also a highlight of our stay.
We said on the hotel evaluation form that it would be good to have an English speaker, at reception/ door of breakfast room, as you have so many foreign guests!
Nice hotel that is on taxi distance from downtown Xi'An. Interesting garden (Tang style) in the middle of the hotel. Value for money!
Location is a bit peripheral, but the city is readily accessed by taxi. Staff are very helpful.
A very spacious and well laid out hotel with fantastic decor. My daughter and I both left it was 'a bit posh' for us after doing backpacking hotels. Food in the restaurants were fantastic, especially the night they put on the buffet! Friendly and helpful staff, in a great location not too far from the main city walls and gread facilities, although the 7,30 am tai chi class was a little early for me is probably the only fault I could find! I would definately stay here again. Reccomended.
Excellent hotel located just outside the city walls and within walking distance to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Very green and clean with a nice small lake in the middle of the gardens. Near by you will find a hostel with cheap internet and laundry. Ask for Sunny as she speaks very good english and can translate. As with all beds in China, they are rock hard and non-smoking rooms do not exist.
We had a great time staying here. It was located in a very beautiful area of Xian and the staff was very helpful.
Had a great time in Xian, this hotels location, service, staff, etc added to the experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Xian. I will definately come back.
Very nice, pleasant hotel, excellent buffet breakfast, and beautiful grounds.
This was an excellent hotel postioned right next door to the Big Goose Pagoda Area and close to the history museum. It was the best priced hotel we stayed at during our China holiday. We chose it because of its chinese character and were not dissapointed.
A lovely hotel, set in beautiful gardens with helpful staff. Unlike many chinese hotels, it had very comfortable beds. It's a bit out of the way but taxis are cheap. The Wild goose pagoda nearby is very interesting and set in a lively park where everyday there is a spectacular fountain display.
It's a great location to stay, though not in the mid of the city, convenient, good service comparing with other hotels in the city. Good for value for such a 4 star hotel, well recommended.
Very well trained, helpful, friendly staff. Excellent atmosphere - traditional style architecture surrounding a picturesque water garden. Plenty of space around the hotel - the Pagoda Park and the Tang Paradise. Very relieved I was not staying in the centre of the city. Breakfasts excellent. Great value overall. I would definitely stay there again. Picky details: A fresh air stick in the room as a non-smoker would have made stay less odorous... The gym equipment was in very poor shape - should be given an overhaul.
Beautiful hotel! a little far from city center. The rooms are great, but hallway carpeting needs upgrading. Be prepared to spend a lot on food, ( coffee) if you eat at the hotel. But its a gorgeous setting.
A lovely quiet hotel with big rooms and an outstanding garden setting, right next to the Big Goose Pagoda, and with easy access by bus or taxi to central Xian. Good value shops in the hotel and good food in the hotel restaurants. Highly recommended.
