Gateway Hotel Hong Kong

The buffet breakfast was delicious and offered a huge variety. The rooms are large by Hong Kong standards but I had a problem with the room having a damp and musty feel about it probably as a result of no exhaust fan in the bathroom. The staff are very friendly.

Am a frequent visitor of Hong Kong and Marco Polo Gateway Hotel is our favorite hotel. The staff are all very friendly, courteous, helpful and always well-groomed. The location is perfect as it is right smack in the center of everything. The hotel rooms are very clean, comfortable and spacious enough. You can be sure that my next visit to Hong Kong will find me staying at this hotel again.

Carpet, bathroom outdated and not maintained. Drainage sink and bathroom not working, always flooding. Deluxe room and bathroom very spacious. Location is the best. Hotel breakfast too expensive. Hotel should start renovating because other hotels for a cheaper price are well maintained. OK hotel, but one should not py a very high price for location alone. I hope the hotel renovates.

It would have been nice if the cocktail lounge had stayed open later in the evening.

The hotel is conveniently located in the upscale shopping area of Tsim Sha Tsui, in Kowloon. The rooms are quite old and need to be renovated. Otherwise, my 2-night stay at the hotel was satisfactory and pleasant.

The Gateway Hotel was convenient and central to many of the larger shopping centres, the MRT and the Star Ferry services. We had no opportunity to make any comparisons but enjoyed the experience.

The rooms are big but never refurbished since the early 90s. my family stayed there many times in the past. We moved to Marco Polo Hongkong because the service and facilities are far better. This trip I had the impression that the hotel has been refurbished but to my disappointment the rooms and toilets are very old. In addition, they put us on a single room the first night even though our confirmed reservation is twin beds. The receptionist was not even apologetic. The location is very good though and the buffet at the basement Bistro was great.

All staff were very helpful and obliging. It is a great location.

allways stayed at the gateway but prices have gone through the roof so no point. old hotel rooms but good size. your pricing rating means nothing as with all your other hotels they see saw from day to day great price when they experience a calamity but not worth the money when the local dim sim convention is on which seems to be most days

Great location for shopping etc but getting a taxi quickly can be challenging. Staff very friendly and helpfull.

Out of date ,overpriced and well overdue for re-furbishment.

Housekeeping services are very efficient. Extra towels delivered to your room in less than 5 minutes after the request is made.

In the middle of a large shopping area, so great for retail therapy.

On Canton road you're right near to the Hard Rock Cafe and also the China ferry terminal. if you're planneing to go to China via ferry this is a perfect base. Nathan road and MTR/KCR stations are around 6 minutes walk as is the harbour front.

Excellent location in Harbour City shopping centre in the middle of the up-market shopping in Canton Road. The Nathan Road shopping area is very closeby as are lots of restaurants of all types. As well, this hotel was convenient for the Star Ferry to Hong Kong. We had a triple room which was very spacious.

We stayed on the club floor. Costs more, however for business it is excellent. We were able to use the meeting room for no extra charge. This floor has its own reception which really works well looking after messages and visitors. All the retail stores and good food are right within the complex.

An excellent hotel which I will be pleased to stay in again. Staff well trained and a pleasure to deal with

I FELT WELCOME, STAFF WERE VERY HELPFUL AND CURTEOUS. SADLY THERE WAS NO SWIMMING POOL OR EXERCISE FACILITIES, BUT WERE AVAILABLE AT SISTER HOTEL, A SHORT WALK AWAY. BUT I WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN.
