Hotel De Gerstekorrel is a pleasant hotel located in the very heart of Amsterdam - close to shopping, nightlife, museums... The hotel has recently been renovated and the rooms are in very good condition. Hotel de Gerstekorrel has 32 rooms, including single rooms, two-person rooms and rooms for three or four people. The WIFI costs € 5.00 per day ( WIFI on request ). City tax of 5% pppn. needs to be paid at the hotel directly ( upon checkin ).

Getting there:From Schiphol airport; Take the train to Amsterdam Central Station ( € 3.60 one way ) . From Central Station take any of the trams 4, 16, 24, 25 for 1 stop to Dam Square. On your left side of the Square you will find Damstraat. Our address is Damstraat 22-24. Travelling time is about 18 min. From 6 AM until 24 PM 4 trains per hour, rest of the day at least one train per hour.

Car parking:Public parking close by or client can use a parking service.
Child Policy:Children under 4 years free when sharing the bed with the adult. Babycot € 5 / night.
Close to Dam square. Very polite and helpful staff. Small rooms , but comfortable.
This hotel turned out be a great location, clean but few ammenities. Overall I would stay there again.
Excellent location. A very basic hotel. The staff are friendly but don't necessarily give you the best of advice for nights out. Perfect place for walking to attractions.
This a budget hotel but not a budget price , Our room was 4m x 4m Room did not look anything like the ones on the hotel website. A box with a bed and a bathroom the size of a telephone box, TV reception was rubbish, very limated wardrobe space, Room at the top (pack an oxeygen mask) Great location the only saving grace.
Great location & the front desk staff were very friendly & helpful. Our room was alright for a budget traveller. However, it was not properly cleaned by the cleaners while we were out. The hotel does not provide bath soap or shampoo.
