Glenferrie Lodge is perfectly positioned on spectacular Sydney Harbour. The superb location soaks in wonderful views of the Harbour and only a short trip to Circular Quay and the Sydney Opera House by taxi-boat or by train from Milson's Point Train Station. Getting there:By train take northern suburbs line to Milson's Point Station and is a short 6 minute walk to Glenferrie Lodge. Catch a ferry from Circular Quay, wharf no. 4 to Kirribilli Wharf. From the airport, catch a shuttle bus straight to us for AU$29. for two people, plus $6. for each additional person., or by taxi for approx AU$35..

Wonderful stay at Glenferrie hotel. Great Breakfast both days included and place was very clean and comfortable. Would recommend this place to anyone that wants a nice quiet money for value hotel! Thank you for such a great weekend!

Love the quiet suburb, shady garden out the back and 2 minute walk to the ferry. Not to mention the excellent breakfast included.
It was very good for the price. Close to the city, just a walk over the harbour bridge. The only problem was the noise, you could hear anything happening outside your room or in neighbors rooms. Great to stay for couple of nights while you are exploring Sydney
Cheap hotel located in central location in north sydney. Unfortunately the ceiling fan in the room didn't work and the fridge was so noisy that I had to turn off but was reasonable value for the price. Included a great buffet breakfast. Worth staying at if looking for reasonable budget accommodation close to city centre.
The included breakfast was excellent, the location was lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, the photos on their website were misleading and the facilities were less than I was expecting. Go in thinking 'backpackers' and you'll be happy. Expect more than that and you may be dissappointed.
Glenferrie Lodge is a 3 Star Lodge & it equals, maybe betters that rating, bearing in mind it is shared facilities. Breakfast is great! & the staff are very helpful.
A good clean reasonably priced place to stay in Sydney. Ferry service to central Sydney about 300 m away, with a seven minute ferry ride. There are enough facilities here to to enjoy yourself, the breakfast is very good. Try to avoid a room near the bathrooms as they attended to be a little noisy.

Excellent Stay - more like a B&B than anything else. Full breakfast in was a bonus - a little walk from train Station or Bus but close to the ferry. Would gladly stay again.
I love the GF - it reminds me of an old fashioned B&B with a real country feel about it. You have just what you need - share bathroom might be hard to get used to - but short stroll to the best harbour views. great restaurants nearby but best of all is having a buffet breakfast under the trees in the garden. very quaint and one of the cheapest prices in Sydney, especially for North Shore
Both my travelling companion and I really enjoyed staying here and loved the old world charm of the breakfast dining room. We found the staff helpful and friendly. Parking wasn't a problem over Xmas. I think I would probably get one of the the rooms with a balcony next time as the scenery is worth looking at.
Staff extremely helpful. Stairs could be a problem for wrinklies such as us but we asked and got moved downstairs at the first opportunity. Breakfast was great and the location was brilliant Only five minutes walk away from the ferry and if you fancied a bit longer walk, about fifteen to twenty minutes walk to the other ferry. Cons: Lots of stairs, shared bathrooms. pretty pricey internet. Pros: Cannot beat this location, so close and convenient to ferries and trains, shops, luna park, restaurants and yet out of hustle an bustle of city. Lovely safe area for walking around. Buffet breakfast every day is included in price and can save a bit of money.

Breakfast was excellant with plenty to choose from and enough to satisfy most. My only reservation about my stay was shareing facilities. However for a younger group this would not be a problem. (I'm 56)
