"Six of us stayed here recently for a fiftieth birthday celebration. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, rooms very clean but with not much of a view. "Good quality hotel close (10 minute walk) to Sagrada Familia (which is also one of the pick-up points for the hop-on hop-off daily bus tours) . Opened in April 1995 and refurbished in 2001, Hotel Glòries is the only hotel in the new Glòries commercial and business area, just a few minutes from the Auditorium, the Catalonia National Theatre and very close to the Sagrada Familia cathedral and the Olympic Village and beaches. The city centre is two stations away on the underground, or 5 minutes by taxi. |

| Getting there: |
By car: coming from Mataró motorway and after crossing the Glòries square, turn right in the first traffic light you will see and there is our hotel.
By plane: There is a bus in the airport, called AEROBUS, which will take you from the airport to Plaza Catalunya (the center of the city). From Plaza Catalunya you can take the underground, line 1, to Glòries stop. The hotel is 10 minutes walking from this stop.
Another possibility is from Plaza Catalunya, to take the bus number 62 that stops in front of the hotel.
In the airport you can also take the train to Sants-Estació (see By train)
By train: If you arrive at "Barcelona-Sants" Station, you should take the underground(line 5 "Sants-Estació") to the Sagrada Família stop. Once in Sagrada Família stop, you have to change the line inside the underground, take line 2 (purple) to Monumental stop. This stop is near the hotel, about 150 meters. |
