"The hotel is generaly fine.
However there are few things that doesnot match a 4 star hotel rating:
1) the towels, eventhough clean, were very old and almost torn.
2) the bed sheets were also a bit worn out
3) the carpet was not very clean
4) the shower compartment was very small (might be only in our room since it was probably the smallest in the whole hotel).
Positive points:
1) next to a metro station
I would recomend this hotel to tourists with not too high expextations looking for a short and relatively cheap accomodation." - Anonymous

Golden Park Hotel 4****, renovated in 2002, is located in the neighbourhood of the East Railway Station, close to the city centre and many points of interests of Budapest (Heroes' Square, Museums, The Zoo, The Circus, The Theme Park, and Thermal baths). The hotel is easy to reach whether by car or by public transportation: the M2 metro line has a stop just in front of the building. Budapest's biggest shopping centre the Arena Plaza with IMAX movie theatre is only 10 minutes away by walk. |

From the Airport: straight ahead on the airport highway, at Nagyvárad square turn right to Orzy street, go ahead throgh Orczy tér, go along Fiumei street, turn right to Kerepesi street. The hotel will be on the right side.
From the highways - from Vienna /M1 highway - 226 km/; from Lake Balaton /M7 - 100 km/ through Erzsébet híd (Elisabeth-bridge) towards the city centre along Rákóczi út to Baross tér.
From M3 highway through Hungária körút then right to Kerepesi út to Baross tér.
