Golden Park Hotel Budapest

Single room is really small.

The hotel is generaly fine. However there are few things that doesnot match a 4 star hotel rating: 1) the towels, eventhough clean, were very old and almost torn. 2) the bed sheets were also a bit worn out 3) the carpet was not very clean 4) the shower compartment was very small (might be only in our room since it was probably the smallest in the whole hotel). Positive points: 1) next to a metro station I would recomend this hotel to tourists with not too high expextations looking for a short and relatively cheap accomodation.

Located close to the central station very handy for using all public transport... Very good breakfast and helpful staff.

good ok ation for the train station. For sight seeing and getting around, location was just below average if you like getting around on foot.

Hotel is situated a good 15-20min walk from river, 10-15mins from heroes square but a metro is opposite. Staff were very friendly to us and any request we had they sorted. Breakfast food was basic but at this price range as we expected. Rooms were small but clean and adequate for who stays in the hotel room when on holiday only to sleep. All in all i would reccommend this hotel as a value for money location.

Very simple, but good value hotel located conveniently beside the main Pest railway. The service clearly reminds us of times a few decades back..., but when you know that and accepts it, then I guess it is acceptable... but it can never be a great experience, sorry.

Staff were very helpful when we had any questions regarding places to go and how to get there.

Very nice hotel, directly located at a train station with subway and bus access. Air conditioning was nice and quiet and it was good to have at 40 celsius. Restaurants and small grocery shops within 300m around. Good breakfast buffet. Only negative: No hotel parking available. (to avoid any problems with the rental car, I rented a parking space at the Atlas hotel which is 3 blocks away (7Eur per night). Fully recommended.

Small rooms, average facilities but enough price=quality combination.

Cannot fault it for the money. travel innn type room decor but ideally situated for the metro that was right outside the hotel.

Clean hotel, helpful staff. Comfortable. The only things that could have been improved: - Impossible to adjust the temperature in the room - a bit hot - The safe depostit boxes in both rooms didn't work - Good room price, but relatively very expensive if you invite a non-resident for breakfast.

Good location and a reasonable breakfast

They need to buy a hoover that will clean into the corners of the carpets. The breakfast is very poor. The girl who works reception is very grumpy, but this is quite amusing, think of Basil Fawlty and you are not far wrong. For the cost per night you can't complain though, Easy enough to get to and from the main center of town and right on the Metro link to town. Bathrooms are spotless. About 30 minutes by cab from the airport and 5 by cab to town.

Breakfast was basic to say the least and I was dissapointed I had to pay E5 to use the gym facilities. Overall ok

rooms are rather small but have everything necessary. It was very clean and quiet - good value for the money.

Perfect hotel! Only the corridors look not really nice. Location is perfect, only a few steps in front of the metro.

Very import that the hotel stays close to the Metro station which in a few minutes took us to the city center. To be recomended.
