"golden sands is a good hotel, located close to beach and some very expensive local shops. transport is neccesary for travel around as buses run once an hour and take you on a tour of all local beaches! this hotel is perfect for a quiet rest at the end of a long holiday

"These self contained units were beautifully presented on our arrival and our hosts, Brin and Qi were always available and every ready to give good advice from their wealth of local knowledge. Our trips out were organised by Brian, with no fuss and his recommendations were just right for our stay. I would highly recommend this location, especially for families, there is a lovely lagoon swimming pool and an excellent restaurant attached to the hotel, as well as a lovely beach very close by. The bus trip into Cairns is not to be missed, just hang on to the seat in front. " - Derek Foskett
